*Benfica of course did make the Champions League quarters last year too. This is actually the first time since the 1960s they have reached the quarters of the European Cup in successive seasons!đ€Ż
Unpopular opinion: Griezmann is not a Barcelona flop. He wasn't bad and was actually quite good in his second season, and did his best considering how terrible a decision signing him was.
As a Barcelona fan, heâs a flop given the fact that he cost so much damn money and had expectations to perform as well as Suarez, as in 20+ goals 20+ assists, anything other than that is disappointing. I do admit that he was set up to fail cause he plays the same areas as Messi, and needs the play to revolve around him to really shine. It never made sense to sign him, but Iâm glad that it didnât harm his career that much
@Shiven Mayani that's why I can't consider him a flop with how well he performed while being played out of position on the left in a system that didn't suit him and Messi in the team.
I does not matter if he was out of position, once you are being bought for a huge amount of money you have to adapt or you are a flop. No matter how good the world knows you can be.
He was a flop considering he cost âŹ120 million and after 3 seasons Barca sent him back to Atleti on loan and then sold him to them for only âŹ20 million.
@Wayne Verhoff they negotiated it down from 40 to 20
Camavinga is so underrated. Like the fact that he isnât widely considered as a top 3 young player is crazy. Heâs insane and so versatile
I think what makes Camavingo such a good player is his calmness. Madrid is known for their calmness in the heat of the moment and he's a very controlled defender.
Surprised raphael guerreiro didnt make this as he's been playing as a central mid for Dortmund the past few months and playing incredibly well
Itâs because of
Your mom
Not really
He played v well in a few games but has recently moved back to LB. I'm not sure where Guerreiro is the best tbh
He's not nearly as effective as he is in defense as much as he is in attack. But He's not that good in midfield while facing teams that apply a lot of pressure and push midfielders off like Bayern
It's v tricky w him. He's clearly incredibly skilled and a huge asset to BvB but we can't seem to decide where on the field He's the best
We don't have a solid LB to completely replace him, Bensebaini should help with that
It isn't a new position. He's played there for them prior to this season, they just put him back there though. He just feels too good to be at LB tbh
Heâs played in midfield in previous seasons nothing new
He normally plays cm that's why. He regularly plays there when there's an injury crisis
lucas paquetĂĄ at cm has been a revelation for us, his vision is something else, always runs for the team, usually has the most tackles and interceptions most games and is good at dribbling and has a decent shot though his role isnât necessarily to score
Hes always been a cm, thats where he resurrected his career at lyon, moyes was playing him out of position in the holeđ
Missed Milanâs Brahim Diaz (from AM to RW/SS) and Interâs Hakan ĂalhanoÄlu (from AM to deep lying playmaker)⊠Both are essential for the two Milan teams
Nah this is just splitting hairs at this point
They are still same positions, just different role names
Good shout, people don't know how big is the difference between playing AM and Regista (Playmaker).
They are completely different roles.
@@diego6579 agreed
Surprised Nathan Ake did not make the list, most times used as a central defender in his time at City when Cancelo left we had no LB and Ake put his hand up and looks as good as any natural left back, what makes it better too is just a year ago he was fighting to even remain a City player, and now he is first picked at LB keeping the likes of Salah, Saka and Coman quiet.
Although i also agree with Stones, i feel like Ake deserves some Honorable mention, just for his glow up as a player.
Yeh and has played a lot more in that different position than the likes of trent like how can you put Trent and not him when he has undoubtedly proven himself..
I would be skeptical of praising TAA this early. Opposition teams usually take a while to figure out a weakness against new set ups.
Trents attacking output hasnât âfallen off a cliffâ itâs stayed the same,he has 23 bcc in the PL alone
Strikers struggling to convert his chances created.
Itâs embarrassing how misinformed people are about Trent
@@zac5572 hes shitt. hes a right back he needs to learn how to defend. and he doesnt have the ball control or stamina to play midfield, sure hes a good passer. but so is someone like james ward prowse, but he isnt seen as a generational talent. plus JWP can score freekicks
Not only that but heâs not even a midfielder still. Heâs an inverted RB who joins in the midfield during the attack but still has the defensive responsibilities of being a RB.
You left out Newcastleâs Joelinton, he went from being our most cristisized player to our most praised đ
Benfica reached the last 8 of the champions league for the first time since last year, not since 2016
Apologies, script blunder from myself there
[Michael]
@@EuroFootballDaily no worries. Continue your great work â€ïž
Role and position, there were two things different
TAA became inverted wing back or false full back, focusing to pass from deep space to front due to klopp's philosophy who prefer direct pass in his tactical, same as Zinchenko....
In modern football, player has been created to be hybrid role as like KDB has ability to recovery, creating chances, support attacking etc
Trent played centre midfield for the academy was converted to a righ back because they thought he couldnât make it as a midfielder
Thanks for the mention in the video!
No Joelinton is criminal guys I'm sorry
Played there for two seasons tho
Says new in the title mate
Camavinga will be fit in every position.
Trent has played about 2 games there
He plays two positions at the same time in the same match he world class
@@JustayoungBBCliving heâs awful is a defender and doesnât know how to defend
@@cookerdegree4938 clown, one bad season and u bots talk crap. Shush
3 games and 4 assists so seriously donât be an idiot
@@JustayoungBBCliving camavinga does the same, but actually is decent in both, plus can actually defend
Marc Cucurella would excel for Chelsea if he was just left on the bus đ
every other premier league fan have been saying Trent should be in the midfield - well ones that saw that him at RB was pointless. Either way his clean theređ„, no need for Bellingham.
Ah day more la. Say it with me Zac, Ah day more la
Can zac pick FD or EFD avoiding him in getting impossible
Joelinton at Newcastle? moving from striker flop to midfield enforcer masterclass!
You should've included aursnes, he arrived at Benfica this summer as defensive midfielder but has already played as a box to box (when Enzo left), played as both left wing anda right wing and recently has been playing as right back since bah's Injury's
Raphael Guerreiro should have been on this list. Currently leading the Bundesliga for assists since being moved into midfield from LB and generally just playing out of his skin.
He has moved back to LB in the past few games
Heâs played CM in previous seasons itâs nothing new
Trent Bellingham and rice in midfield would make England promising.
They have so many better players why would they ever play with Trentđ
@@jackgillin612 donât think many got Trentâs vision tho
Not including Raphael guerrio is a crime đ
Hes played so many positions hes been a wing back, a midfielder a cdm
I watch Dortmund games and the way people underestimate Raphael is criminal he suits Pep system and thatâs where I see him going next season
You guys clearly donât keep up with football this is the third comment Iâve seen on this. Heâs played center mid at Dortmund in previous seasons even more than he did this year so itâs nothing new. Holy shit I just know Iâm gonna see this same comment the more I scroll
Rapha needs to be on here
Camavinga will be one of the greatest players of all time
In fact Ben White is so good at right back that when Saliba got injured they still wanted White to stay at right back.
The only reason he wasn't shifted back to CB is because there's no cover at RB
If Tomiyasu was fit ... trust me White was gonna be at CB
Benfica reached the quarterfinals of the champions league last year as well
Lazio have qualified for the champions League in 20/21 also, and reached round of 16, so not since 2015 as the only reached the playoffs that year
Benfica literally reached the UCL quarterfinal too last season in 2022?
Think Luke shaw should get a mention for filling in at cb and doing a far better job than Maguire
Tbf I can do a better job than slabhead maguire
Bale is my no. 1 from left back to striker.
great old school type fd video
5
Greizmann been playing behind the striker , itâs not new
Trent alexander arnold as playmaking Cdm with Long balls đđđđđ
Sancho also in the 10 role
Stones is one of the most underrated players in Europe.
Camavinga is the new Ruud Gullit
Nice joke. He isnât even 1% like ruud gullit. Camavinga canât play as a striker, winger, midfielder and a Center back in the same season like gullit
I'm early
Aursnes from Benfica should of been here. Dm been whose been playing flawlessly as a lw or rb
Name of background song?
Rordygo at RW?
What about Pier Kalulu from ac Milan. From rb to cb. Milan won the league because of that!
That was last season
Granit Xhaka didn't even get a mention ???
Trent, lol
Just 2 games
Bro benfica was in the quarter finals of the ucl last season too lol
ferland mendy has been out farrrr longer since february
TAA is actually playing as inverted RB not as midfielder but ok
No Guerreiro from left back to central midfielder?
Camavinga made at RennesđŽâ«ïž
If Courtois gets injured Real should just stick Camavinga in net I mean Lunin conceded 4 to an MLS player.
When did lunin conceed 4 to an mls player
Joelinton
Luke Shaw being a far better Center Back than Maguire should have been featured here!
Bukayo Saka LB to RW
Joelinton?
Joelinton must not exist after watching this đđđ
Recency bias is real.. How tf is trent above cama ( only in this list)
Luke shaw lb to cb
Where's joelinton?
I donât but Messi plays to deep as a CDM. I donât know, maybe he changed his position.
Trent should be a striker because man is allergic to defending
The way anglophones pronounce foreign names, is a crime against humanity. I'm used to them getting Kroos and GroS wrong, but Zaccagni was a new one.
Putting Trent here is criminal. Liverpool have been god awful this season and he has given up at times and been dropped several times. Recency bias is crazy here theyâve had like 3 good results lately the guy is a RB and doesnât know how to defend
especially above the likes of camavinga
@@MarcosGarcia-pj3pq camavinga has 2 big chances created all season, Trent has 21⊠be serious
@@zac5572 camavinga is a defensive midfielderâŠ. playing in a defensive position. trent has always been world class when it comes to attacking output, but heâs no where near cama when it comes to defense structure
Mikkel Damsgaard
Jeffrey Schlupp
Raphaël Guerrero
Kristijan JakiÄ
Edimilson Fernandes
Marcel Halstenberg
Roberto Pereyra
Timothy Weah
Valentin Rongier
Brais Mendez
Luke Shaw
Where is Luke Shaw and Rapha Guierrerođ«Ł?
Rapha is legit one of the most intelligent players in the world youâll agree with me if you know ball đ
We were thinking of Guerreiro but he's actually played in midfield a fair amount in previous seasons!
[Michael]
@@EuroFootballDaily thank you! Iâve been trying to tell everyone in the comments about Rapha playing their in previous seasons !
Nee joelintonđąđąđąđą
Trent is going to be one of the best midfielders ever
first
No Chuba akpom is scandalous
All this research and you can't say the people's name right, it's so easy to find the pronunciations
Unpopular fact: Man City canât keep being favourites when theyâre never gonna win it.
Watch Pep do an oopsy and play Walker in goal and Ederson at RW with Gundo benched for another important game againâŠ
Makes no sense đź
Griezman dons an appearance that resembles sexual assault victims.
