Unfortunately, I lost Lift in my very first match, keeping me out of Rank 1 this week. Fortunately, that gave me latitude to experiment with Defense matching with Brave Soren! This was a super fun defense that actually did decently well. With some tweaks, I think this might even stick around next Chaos season.
Offense was great!... Until this afternoon! I tried to multitask shopping at the bookstore while playing AR-O, which led me to Ladder six times in a row. Luckily, those were the only Ladders I used this week. Offense Medeus first as an omnitank and then as a Near Savior with Brave Soren really carried me this week. All told, I am still sitting in the Top 1k players this week!

Aether Raids is a competitive game mode in the mobile strategy game Fire Emblem Heroes. AR is one of the most important modes in the game for the resources it provides, namely Heroic Grails. The design of defense teams is my favorite part of this game by far for the planning and investment required to produce the most consistent results.

Who is your favorite unit to give Assign Decoy to with our new friend, Brave Soren?
So far, definitely either Freyr. 1 being +10 and another being the penalty remover, both a feat to take down when not prepared.
Echidna, my favourite fire emblem unit she is so good with him
I want have Fallen Ike as his Decoy *I would prefer legendary Ike but Fallen is better* but I waiting to get some Attack/Speed Unity Fodder first! Mainly because I love love love his and Ike's friendship throughout Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn :3

Yoo double save with matching defense is nasty!
I knew B!Soren would be good on defense but it took seeing this video for me to realise his potential. I slapped him in place of one of my mage nukes on defense and ive been impressed with the results.
The ability to turn one of your bulky nukes into a backup save sponge is game changing in terms of the role compression it allows defense teams to have.
I am so jealous of your Ascended Joshua, hes one of my favorite units in the game but i don't have all that good of fodder 😭
It's insane how in face of CYL 7 heroes and their new shinny effects, the core of these def team is still Bride Catria.
It gives me something when I see that they go through who knows where the cancellation of attacks, attacks with DC impossible to cancel should not exist

He’s extremely weak to DR piercing tbh; most of your units that deal with omnitanks already should be able to deal with him.

Seems like the meta of high aether raid is extremely strong staff unis? Honestly still trying to figure out a good raid team setup.
I don’t think there’s any hard counter to catria ball with Freyr and medeus support. I can only think of galeforcing with AOE. Or hit and run first turn which your defense do not have a save tank .
Since both Freyr and NY!Askr have the same def stat (but different ranges), they both get Assign Decoy?
Yep! It also would work if they had the same range, but that would be a negative outcome.
Seeing Flare on Askr made me wonder how many total Sorens you pulled. 🤣

Do you think giving NCD4 to Askr will improve anything for Askr against the likes of Veronica for example?
Maybe! It seems like very expensive fodder for something of a gimmick. I think Lull Atk/Res probably would’ve kept him alive, and that’s a much cheaper skill.
