- In some cultures one's 60th birthday represents a new beginning and a fresh flow of one's life. To awakened souls, aging often reminds you that your past can be and indeed is a rehearsal for your future.
As we reflect on the first half of the life of Carlton Pearson, we can see that he and even others around him generally sensed his present emphasis on expanded consciousness and radically inclusive love was always part of his destiny.

Carlton Pearson
After college at the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma he served for 15 years on its Board of Regents, and two years as Associate Evangelist of The Oral Roberts Association, (ORA).
In 1977, Pearson founded Higher Dimensions Ministries (now New Dimensions ), in Tulsa, which grew to over 5,000.
Bishop Pearson was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 1996 thru a College of Bishops headed by Bishop Charles E Blake, presently the Presiding Bishop of the Churches of God In Christ, the denomination he was raised in and through whom he was ordained in 1971.
In 1993, Carlton married the former Gina Marie Gauthier who is a professional Life Coach and Yoga teacher.
More recently, he has felt a passion to proclaim the "Gospel Of Inclusion" and has written a widely acclaimed book by that name, published by Simon and Schuster. It confronts the Christian church's exclusivism as being inconsistent, in spirit with the teachings of Jesus.
Pearson's frank and often controversial take on a number of different subjects has earned him appearances on television programs such as NBC and MSNBC's Dateline, ABC's Nightline, 20/20, Good Morning America, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley, The Edge with Paula Zahn and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, The Monique Show on BET, and a number of other television, radio and print media outlets. Bishop Pearson was recognized as one of America's 10 Most Influential Black Ministers by Gospel Today and Belief.net. He has received several honorary doctoral degrees.
Bishop Pearson recently served as the Interim Senior Minister at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago. He and Gina now host New Dimensions of Chicago, building a local multi-cultural and radically Inclusive spiritual community that emphasizes expanded consciousness and Self Actualization. His newest book, God Is Not A Christian, Nor A Jew, Muslim, Hindu...God Dwells With Us, In Us, Around Us, As Us was published by Simon and Schuster and released in the spring of 2010.

I only saw Bishop on TV when he had his television program. This video was such a blessing to see a lot of what I missed. His music and ministry brought me through a lot of difficult times. Blessings to Bishop Pearson always I am forever grateful.
Azusa changed my life, I love you Bishop Pearson, and would love to sit down with you one day to share all that is in my heart and has been since April of 2001. The mantle must be picked back up again, and those who lead must live broke or loose themselves in the appearance of light,, and we know who appears as an angel of light....

It's sad that many who have advanced because of Bishop Pearson have turned their backs on him. I certainly don't agree with his new teaching but to now talk about Bishop Pearson as if he is nothing is certainly wrong. With prayer all things are possible. It shows us that our faith must be in God. Man will walk away. I too pray for Bishop Pearson and family.

It was bk in the late 60s i too grew up watching Katherine & u in the 70s, ORU on tv. I truly see & know evolution and transformation when i see it. And i know u, Gina and Family are going to be as amazing as you are meant to be. U just keep keepin on baby. This is between u & TMH! I remember the messages you preached were and have always been ahead of the rest. It has indeed been a blessing being a part of yr congregation in the early days & witness greatness. This is the Carlton Pearson who preached hell is real. This Pearson needs to come back.
Maybe it's too late, he embraced & preached wholeheartedly that great deceit from the pits of hell that hell doesn't exist. Anyone and everyone who does not believe in hell will someday believe when they go there sooner or later.
I went to Higher Dimensions in the late 80's and I will never forget that experience. I remember Bishop Pearson preaching a sermon called "Davids Place Was Empty". The sermon was about David being out of place. Well your place in the Body of Christ, is empty sir! Come back to your place. My theory is you don't know how to come back. Just repent come back to your place. Just like Paul, it will take the body time to receive you back because they won't trust that you are not trying to "kill the Church". But come back to your place. Now is the time before it's too late. They say Myles was starting to preach error and God took him home. Don't let this be your story. God bless you! Sheila P.S. If God "took home" preachers who preached error then a whole lot of preachers would be dead. In the Myles Munroe plane crash was a young family with an eight year old child and mother was pregnant with child. Did God take them home too for being in the same plane as Myles. Or was the crash pilot error as the investigation reported.

I think often of msgs I heard back then. I also remember a msg he brought on a Sun nite as he had just been to Paris France! The Holy Spirit told me something had been sown in him! Questioning his Faith🌟Success🌟 I moved not too long after that! I’m back in Tulsa trying to find where I’m supposed to be. Pastor Carlton??? He is over on South Peoria at All Souls just within walking distance of what was once the Restless Ribbon. Helping those white folks out. Bringing them a little spice & possibly a little more color to their gatherings? God Bless❣️

Kulhman's original intro is part of an interview from 1975 when Charlatan was an undergrad at ORU and sported a 'fro. Naweji, It's possible that people like Bishop Carlton were men of God who were anointed and speaking by the power of God. But, men and women can fall away from God. Hebrews 6:4-8 talks about it such people.
