SERMON DESCRIPTION:
Mercy is not just allowing escape from hell. Authentic mercy would be completely extricating the concept of eternal damnation from our belief system and articles of faith. The English word hell doesn't appear anywhere in the original biblical narrative and Jesus never used the term. He used the Hebrew word Gehenna (Valley of Hinnom), which was mistranslated as Hell in the King James version. Is a Hell-less Christianity possible? Can you be Christ-conscious beyond the obscenity of a customized torture chamber from which escape is an infinite impossibility?

I attended Easter service at All Souls, this was my first visit. I came home and started watching Mr Pearsons sermons. I wish I would have had the pleasure of meeting him. So much I identify with. From a young age I had a great love for God and the works of Jesus. I would weep just from hearing the beautiful stories. Then I was told that it's great that you love God, but you are gay and unwelcome in the house of God. There is so much religious trauma that is being dealt to this day. I could go on forever on this subject. But I really just wanted to give thanks for the words you say.

We condemn others, n yet project it onto God. God condemns no one, God is Perfect Love.
I began awakening a few years ago after growing up devoutly southern Baptist. I began questioning what I was taught and the most important thing...I prayed for truth. Not mans truth but GODS TRUTH. When I did this he began to open up my heart and mind to universalism. I knew that the God I loved and knew would never condemn his creation to a place of torment. God is love. If we believe that one of his creation could go to a place called Hell...wouldn’t we be giving Satan the victory? Jesus came that ALL MAY BE SAVED. He paid the price for us. ALL OF US.
This sermon reminds me of that George Carlin quote:
Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky, who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry, forever and ever, 'till the end of time! But he loves you.

Hey Jonathan: George Carlin was always a funny guy. I once thought the whole concept of heaven and hell depicted a somewhat mean wrathful God. That was a misunderstanding of the true Christian doctrine as has been claimed since around 33AD. But hell is in the Bible, people. God says there are lots of sins that will take someone to hell. I Cor 6:9,10: "Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." Read the Bible and don't change it based on something you try to reason out yourself. No one can change the Bible and God said so. There is judgment to anyone who doesn't adhere to the full counsel of God's Word. Hebrews 9:27 King James Version (KJV) "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." There is a judgment of all of our wrong doing when we die, if we don't live according to God's principles. If we don't study God's Word for ourself we will be like lambs to the slaughter, following every wind of doctrine that isn't of God.
I love this man! I can totally relate to a lot he has to say! Thank You for having the courage for verbalizing questions that I also have also been carry around about the Bible.

People are running away from God why is he going to force you to be with him in heaven. True love let you choose God is not going to force you to love him. Carlton Pearson says the God of the Bible is a mean God and not a God of love, because he is going to put people in the fire of Hell to burn forever. My question to him is, if His God is love and loves everybody, and if His God of love is the one who created little children, and also the rain, then why when fires break out in a house, and children are trapped inside, how come his loving God doesn't make it rain to put the fire out, so he can save the little children that he loves, from the fire?
Most of Christendom worship the God that they have created but definitely not the loving God who created them.

There is a hell-fire that annihilates the wicked and they go back to the dust from where they came from Genesis 3.19....there is no place where you go to burn forever that would be demonic...God is love...so if fear of hell fire is making you keep God's commandments you are now free to obey him from gratitude , we have been redeemed for obedience not disobedience

Carl is correct. Here is the bible proof that hell is referred to this world. Proverbs 15:24 The way of life [is] above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.//John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. Conclusion by verse association. If hell is referred to as being, "from beneath" and Jesus referred to those people as being from this world which is from beneath, therefore this world is hell. Here is more: Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.//1John 5:19 [And] we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. Did you know there is no verse that says hell is eternal or everlasting. No verse that says, "sinners go to hell". This are all religious clichés that are not biblical. In fact no mention of anyone in hell except a certain rich man in Luke 16 but Jesus refers to that man as a parable in this verse: Luke 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully. There is no way to associate from the bible that the Lake of Fire and hell to be the same. Christians make that association due to hearsay only. Because there is no verse that says hell is eternal, they needed to steal the lake of fire notion but the lake of fire is not hell because the bible says, "Hell was cast into the lake of fire". To conclude this physical world is what the bible is referring to as hell. Also how can hell be eternal when the bible says the very opposite: Proverbs 15:24 The way of life [is] above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath//Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.//Psalms 86:13 For great [is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

The word' hell' is nowhere found in the scripture.
The WORD in the scripture is :" Gehenna".
Gehenna was the Jerusalem rubbish dump.
In Yahshua's day they had perfect understanding of what Yahshua was saying.
In Yahshua's day the sinners were NEVER buried, The sinners were cast over the wall into Gehenna, Where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenshed.
Gehenna was kept burning 24/ 7.
Everything that was cast into Gehenna was turned to ASHES.
Rev. 20: 14- 15 is Gehenna. The lake of Fire is in the exact SAME place as Gehenna was 2,000 years ago. Outside the walls of Jerusalem. The Kidron valley.
On The LAST day all the sinners will be cast into Gehenna ( The Lake of fire ) and will be turned to ASHES. This is LOVE. 1 John 4: 7- 8.
The Christians CHANGED the words in the scripture. This alone shows that the Christians are NOT from Yahweh.
The Christians LIE. This shows that the Christians are liars and are of their father the devil. So it is written.
To believe in a place called 'hell' you have to reject all these plain and simple scriptures written for those who will become as little children.

Only a sadistic god would have a place of torment called ' hell.' Yahweh is LOVE.
Yahweh will show more LOVE on Judgement day than any day since creation when He casts all the sinners into the Lake of fire and they are turned to ASHES. Rev. 20: 7- 15.
Body, soul, spirit and breath to ASHES instantly. This is LOVE.
HELL " does not exist, HELL has never existed and HELL will never exist. Yahweh is LOVE. 1 John 4: 7- 8.
On the LAST day Yahweh will cast all the sinners into the LAKE of Fire and the sinners will be turned to ASHES instantly, NO Pain, NO suffering, OUT of existence instantly. This is LOVE. Rev. 20: 7- 15.
John 6: 39, 40, 44, 53 and 54. The last day.
The fate of Satan is clearly described in the scripture.
Yahweh WILL bring a FIRE from the midst of Satan and Yahweh's FIRE will DEVOUR Satan and turn Satan to ASHES and Satan will be NO MORE FOREVER. Ezekiel 28: 18- 19.
ALL who sin will be turned to ASHES on the LAST Day and will be NO MORE FOREVER. So says Yahweh.
Rom. 11: 11- 33. Yahweh's ONLY WAY to salvation.
May Yahweh give you your hearts desire.
Heb. 12: 14.
