The biggest problem across all genre of RTS games is having one army. This is a massive mistake in the modern RTS game. You can accomplish much more across the map with multiple armies. In Halo Wars 2 you have plenty of narrow spaces in where leader powers will massacre an army because you don't have room to split them. As long as you have enough units to liquidate your opposing threat it is a great idea to be in two places at once.

Then don’t rush your hero out, scout vehicles are supposed to punish infantry.

@@Void_Wars punish BASIC infantry you mean, even a swarm of ghosts/choppers/jackrabbits does fuck all to stop a hellbringer rush, might last 20 seconds against them instead of being deleted the second they get in range, still probalby wont save your base tho
my top 3 are definitely scout constantly, prioritise mini bases and ALWAYS go for nodes

Air is easy to counter people dont scout enough I always scout the enemy player closest to me and see if he has airpads if so i either launch a suprise raid and destroy his pads and buy me time to build counter air or just go to building straight counter air and digging in for a defense while also building a small army to hit back as soon as his air is wiped
The biggest takeaway and also my personal big rule is the keeping your armies and units mobile and spread out. if you're especially attacking a base when you know the enemy will prioritize defending it and using all resources and leader powers to kill the attackers its good to spread your army in 3-4 groups around the target base. Also being constantly aware of the battle as soon as you see the target reticle spawn over your army thats the alarm bell that you need to split and move forces asap to avoid a devastating wipeout of your forces. Leader powers can make or break battles and attacks and defenses

Know the meta resource gathering locations in teams, don't take your teammates intended resources or base locations

My thing is before you and play a online match against anybody is to practice in ai matches learn as much as you can to get yourself comfortable with plays im still kinda knew so learning especially with building more bases and mini bases plus the power nodes
courtesy if someone moves a troop to a location to take a mini or a expo don't steal it or even if a allied expo gets destroyed don't steal it unless they say u can have it

I see all the time people not taking there nodes till at least the 10 min mark or non at all and I come along and take it and get to tek three in second with the 5 nodes in hand

Also, if the people you’re fighting aren’t going for nodes then maybe you’re too low of a rank to actually meet good players.

I recently got a PC and play halo wars 2. Most games I get into will crash after about 15-20 minutes and the screen will go black. Is this an issue with the game or PC?
The game, unfortunately. Halo Wars 2 isn't the best optimized game.
