- We explore Forks, Washington, the setting of the Twilight books and movie, where vampire threat level is high. Camping in the ancient trees of the Hoh Rain forest is beautiful but when it rains it pours. With a week of rain in the forecast, we head out of Washington, stopping at Kalaloch Campground and beach for a picnic.

FYI, I was 56 when I read the Twilight books (I am now 69). I should be ashamed to admit that I read them at all, but even worse, I read them all THREE TIMES! Ridiculous I know, but I bet I’m not the only one. Really enjoyed this video! (Team Edward here)

We are hoping to stay at Kalaloch next summer.
I never got into Twilight. I may be a little too old, but I have 2 friends that their oldest kids are younger than my youngest so that may be I was busy with toddles and not newborns. LOL Both of them would LOVE to visit that area. It's so nice to travel and let the kids play and get wet and you have all the changes of dry clothes right there. I look forward to traveling with the grandkids like that one day! HUGS~Donna

Welcome to my neck of the woods. I am from the reservation just north of Kalaloch called Hoh River. I am not sure if you seen but there is a site to see on Kalaloch beach of a tree called The Tree of Life not to far from the Ruby Beach and Kalaloch resort. Kind of a beautiful land mark we always visit when we go walking on the beach.
Oh good now we have an excuse to go back! 😄

Hi Sandi. Yes we are on the road. It takes us a while to get these videos ready.
Rain? Only 7 days. Wait until winter when you can have about 100 days in a row. Anyway you're not going to melt from the rain! Enjoy the PNW!
