Super cold in Aus, I definitely walk around in the morning and do a quick plant check, in the afternoons I might get an hour to do a quick report or pest treatment. Winter in Canberra is I. The minus degrees.
What are you feeding your anthurium? That leaf is huuuggeee… 😱
2:50 its bigger because its searching for more light. Small and many leaves = a lot of light. However check anthurium photos from rainforest, they live under canopy in literal DARK + there is 200 overcast rainy days on average so they are getting very small amount of light which explains why they are so reflective (to catch light from any angle). So that spot you have it on is actually good :) Its quite rare to see real life photo of anthuriums getting direct sunlight.
I recently got a moodeanum hybrid X Magnificum juvenile plant, and the darkest leaf has me SO excited to see how dark it'll get as it matures!! So beautiful 🤩

I love phals! They get better and better every year. Mine are all in leca too. I have other types of orchids in leca too, but they're not doing as well as my phals.

We just moved, I had hundreds of grow lights everywhere at the last place, the floor to ceiling windows at the new place are giving sun stressing all around, I have 2 of those grow lights up right now, everything is thriving ❤❤❤😅
I just picked up 2 clarinerviums too, put one in semi hydro, one with my chunky aroid mix, same size as yours, we’ll see!

I finally got my Mathilde splash!! I ordered little plants from 2 different sellers and neither has the splash that some of yours have - not the super splash. So I’m going to blast them with light
When I graduated from high school they measured our heads for cap and gown. And the kid measuring me blurted out”boy, you’ve got a big head!” He told me how big and what most other students chewed were. Showed me where it was written down. I can’t wear any women’s hats. I can cram them down in my head but it’s not pretty and very uncomfortable. So glad to have you join the big head club!

Stunning plants! I’m loving the mag x lux and mint monstera! Would love more Phal’s but I always give them root rot 😅 advice on how to grow them in leca? Do you leave a resovouir or just flush through? 🤔
Phals are still a little tricky for me as well in leca. I prefer to use self watering pots with wicks because I think with the initial transfer, the constant moisture may shock it. So I don’t like keeping the water/nutrients too high. The main thing is air around the roots and you’re providing that if they’re in LECA. I would give them a touch more light after the transfer too. I don’t flush often. Maybe every 1-2 months

How do you go about watering your phalaenopsis? Do you keep water in the reservar, and if you do about how much?
I’ve got a krimson queen that’s only giving me white leaves. I cut it back but I’m not sure I did it right. I cut back to the last green leaf. Should I have. But before or after the last green leaf. I’m ready to cut it again.
Do you add slow release fertilizer pellets in along side normal liquid fertilizer? Your growth is off the chats.......
Don’t have fungus gnats in leca and pon? Or just in your plants with soil ?
Please let us know how the nematodes work for you! Fungus gnats have been taking over my place lately😭
