In Antigua’s defense, like most Caribbean islands the top sport there is cricket. The tiny island has produced some of cricket’s most legendary players that played influential roles in winning the West Indies 2 world cups, most notably Sir Vivian Richards
football is becoming quite popular here probably as much as cricket lots of talenteed ballers in the ranks its just tht u have a higher chance of becoming a really good cricketer and in the west indies setup compared to football

You might see the result and hear about the history and think that the Cayman Islands probably parked the bus, got a bit lucky on defence and took their chance when it came up front. And while they did lose out in terms of possession, 45-55%, and total shots, 10-18, the Cayman Islands actually had more shots on target than Antigua and Barbuda, 7-4. 6 of those 7 shots on target were in the box, so it's not like they just racked up the stats by shooting from miles out, although a lot of these shots were quite central in the goal rather than the corners. They also limited Antigua and Barbuda to shots from worse positions as well, with 2 of their shots on target coming from outside the box and the other 2 from a relativelt tight angle. Oh, and the Cayman Islands also hit the crossbar in the 57th minute.
I didn't watch the game so don't know exactly how much the stats back up the quality of chances created, and for some reason, CONCACAF haven't seemed to release a highlight video so I can't go back and check quickly, but it certainly seems like the win was well deserved
The Caribbean Cup was always planned to be discontinued once the Nations League came about.
8:33 the fascinating thing about these qualifiers is that these groups will actually be decided in a single round robin format. Meaning every team will play four matches only, what makes the win all the more important.

from all the qualifiers i fw the concacaf the most since this year without the 3 massive teams are already in theres countries like curacao who are literally the favorites in their group.
