Akshay was literally Bollywood's go-to action hero or secret army agent(Baby, Holiday, Bell-Bottom, Sooryavanshi). But, somewhere people started hating him for doing more movies. Earlier people wanted him to do movies every year, now they feel a content saturation due to OTT platforms, that's why they don't want to see him again and again. His movies aren't bad, they're the same as earlier, however neither do his movies have the masala to make them pan-India, nor do they have the effect of making them cinematic masterpieces. Now he is also reliant of the Cop Universe by Rohit Shetty to get super-hit films.

Now since he isn't getting good films, his acting is also taking a dip now, and it isn't helping his case at all.

Baby and Pathaan both are same genre movies... 1 is masterpiece and another is below average content, but BO game is different for these two movies.. Akshay Kumar acted superbly in Raksha Bandhan, Raamsetu and Mission Raniganj but unfortunately not fared good at BO. He is a legend who acted in films with taboo subjects like sanitary pad and toilet. No other A listed actor can ever think off doing such subjects. He will surely bounce back and with a bang..
I think the audience’s last straw with Akshay was when he refused to grow a moustache for the period epic “Samrat Prithviraj”. We have seen how dedicated actors have been for historical films & in portraying these personalities, spending years on one project, but Akshay couldn’t even be bothered to grow a moustache. He is known for his discipline & that ball was dropped with this one. He needs to gain the audience’s favour again, not sound the same in every role, and show that he cares.

Guys. Everything is good. Can you please stop using that duck sound effect. It is over used, feels cheap. For me it's kinda annoying. Evey new CZcamsr's go to sound effect.
One more major thing which leads to the downfall of an actor is connecting cinema with politics. Take the example of Akshay, Kangna, Hema malini or anyone else.
You lose your actual movie lover audience and starts connecting with political people who have literally zero knowledge of cinema.

I think a major reason for audience's current indifference towards him because of his open political stance..alienating fans like myself..a major factor that has effected Kangana Ranaut too.
