Effortless and simply magnificent. We lost this voice way too soon, Matt's voice was out of this world, he could sing a song like no other singer. RIP Matt.

It wasn't his last concert, he performed a few more times, but was his last big concert. We all wish someone had recorded it. There is only one properly recorded concert film performance. This is called An Evening with Matt Monro and has been available on DVD for more than 15 years. We currently don't have the rights to put it on you tube.
By the way there was ONE other professionally filmed performance from 1982 in San Francisco - oddly filmed for Philippines TV by a company in the USA called Merit TV. However master is lost (like much of Marcos era state TV) and all we have is a bad quality VHS which has sound that is so distorted it is unwatchable.
I like watching the cute conductor, Matt is wonderful as usual, it was strange little set, where the ladies were sitting up high, and showing their legs, not very flattering
