A day after arriving in Kathmandu, Nepal, I set off towards the place they call Thamel. A tourist spot filled with agencies and shops selling paintings, trekking material, cameras, and religious ornaments. Most of the people I saw walking on the streets were foreigners, and I was constantly approached by over-friendly strangers who wanted to lure me in their shops.
I found a restaurant called Jatra around Thamel and tried choila छोयला, a special newari dish consisting of buffalo meat in a spicy sauce, for the first time.

When you were like *he's still following me* that was so rude 🥺.. in my opinion that guy was friendly with you. We love and respect tourists.
True but i tried to give him hints that i wanted to be left alone but he still kept following me so it was a bit frustrating

Bro had choila for breakfast lmao
I have to treat the salesmen like i basically have to treat homeless people in America. If you say much to them or acknowledge them much, they will follow you forever. Might as well keep it short and have a quick excuse ready to deploy if not wanting to just repeatedly say “No” which is a bit harsher than a quick excuse, but they ask for it.
💘💘
Wow just wow how u eat choila
Visit lumbini ...
Most of the Nepalese people understand Hindi as Bollywood moves are very popular in Nepal but they might not be able to reply back too well. Most of the people you met on your blog - the vendors, the sadhu, the pani puri guy, even the pani puri you had in the streets of ktm are all from India !! Most of the Indian food restaurants, street food etc are owned by people from different parts of India… that’s why you can get around speaking Hindi !!
❤
you know enough nepali to do anything in nepal
Bro ..trust me nepalese and indian people we go wild when we hear foreigner speaks nepalese..keep posting
Most people in Nepal can speak or understand Hindi but people in India can't understand Nepali at all. Strange but true.
Only in some states of India like Sikkim, the majority speak Nepali
Savage you looks so handsome ❤
First views first comment bro
Those first guys operating the rickshaw always charge insane prices. Been twice and the price was ridiculous. This guy in your video asked for 1,000 for 2km. Taxi would cost 200 for a tourist, 150 or less for a local. My Nepali friends could taxi from near the airport to Thamel for under 200 rupees. That was in 2017.
True that
Taxi's are expensive even for the locals. 300 rs. is the lowest fare I have paid till now that too after bargaining. Maybe u are talking about pathao or sth.because those charge comparatively reasonal prices.
everyone coming to South Asia and being blogger like professional 🤣🤣😆😆.
Tum toh lengend ho bro kitne language sikhoge
Next one is bengali

You should be very careful with Indians in Nepal
RedBull is ban now a days. I don't no what's the reason behind..
😯💀
hello brother, i am from Nepal , if you could share some language learning tips from your experience,i would be really grateful!
In my experience, i find learning the grammar thoroughly is what helps me the most
beggars and coneman increased a lot in Thamel I don't know where they came from they are not Nepali.
Buff toilet in subs lol ….. boy you starving,I could tell ……
1k for 2km is way too much i did that for 200 only
”Choila” … “Sadeko” - stay away from these if you are not into spices!! These are typical snack items - made to be enjoyed with Beer or any alcoholic beverage … the sauce is made with raw minced garlic, ginger, green chili, red chili, raw onion, coriander, mustard oil - etc … !! Definitely not a breakfast or lunch item !!
You should visit urban places where you can get everything for free... accommodation, food and souvenirs for free... then you will know the real Nepal...
Where can i find all that?
Go to rural villages in east Nepal
How long have you been learning Nepali bruv?
Started studying more this past year
@@WistuChicha Love to see it bro. I appreciate how you don't just learn template sentences and dig into the depth of the language.
10 hundred 🤣🤣
😁
10 hundred..😒
For two miles 💀
Actually your wrong 26% Indian speak Nepal even they don’t understand Hindi
Nowadays indian scammers all over thamel area
naaaaaa u didnt just gave him rs200 which is £1.20. shame. please dont take the piss of hard workers please not good.
How much was I supposed to give him? Enlighten me
@@WistuChicha atleast £5. just as a human being and politeness.
@@manzitashrestha3804 you think I have enough money to give 5 euros to every hard working person? You know how much money a local from kathmandu including yourself would give that man? Less than 50 rupees for that distance, you seem to think all foreigners are money trees. 🤦🏻♂️
@@WistuChicha lol so u r saying u will ask for help with all the poor people? i thought u went to enjoy and free yourself. u r still trapped inside mate. i am only telling to bargain with well established ppl but when u engage with poor people try to help a little . and not die for penny. i am sure u will feel great. try it once and see. and ohh when u do; do it with open heart not expecting something.
and ohh by the way i buy costa every morning to a homeless before i start my day in UK and i feel great try that , seriously
Wow 😳
