People with the attitude of "I can't afford that tool so it must be unnecessary" are hilarious. If pros are using it there's a reason, often being that their time is more valuable spent on other things because they're at the top of their craft. Love your work gentlemen, keep it up!

People with that ignorant attitude are the reason the number of quality jewellers in the UK are dwindling. How can we get the next generation of jewellers excited about the job if that’s the attitude they’re coming across.

Great question- our next Q&A will be soon. At first it is hard work so make sure you can build up a few clients before going alone if possible. At first I did a lot of Trade work for other companies to get cash flow to build my collection and market to retail customers.

I've only started watching your channel within the last week. I enjoy how you use soldering on the pieces, bright polish each back front and sides...and crevices, grave ad hand set each and "fold" over the metal "prongs" to secure the small stones, then laser together the pieces, set the center or focal stone and then muslin polish to a final luster and the ultrasonic theI piece clean.
Laser "soldering" is expensive,yes, however you can use the same karat of gold or silver during the laser process.

Amazing as always ... how do you get the stones to stay in the holes? Do you use some sort of adhesive?
That's what I have been questioning.
The stones are placed in the holes, then the metal around them are lightly beaten so that it 'squishes' around the stone and holds them in there. You can see him do this in the video at 2:37

Hi Bobby, love everything you’ve shared with us so far. One question, I bought a few sterling silver earring and necklace pendants and they came with the stones to corresponding to the setting. I gave it a try with pliers to full the prongs back but it didn’t work. A jewellery shop told me it would set the stones for me but it would be £4 per setting. I have over 20 pieces to set. Any tips how I could set them myself?? 💕💕💕🏴
Personally I would pay the setter to set the stones at this stage £4 per stone is quite a good price. In the meantime I would start looking for a setting course they may cost several thousand but over the years you will get that money back tenfold. For now I would just concentrate on selling the pieces and getting the setter to do that part of the work.

I don't work with tiger eye so I am not the best person to ask. Find a jeweller that works a lot with that stone and ask them for advice. Glad you're enjoying the videos.
