On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

I do really enjoy the HOBS dogfights! I think their super exciting and interesting, since they CAN be so short! It's also fun watching you use differential thrust in different aircraft too haha
if you could do cinematic intros for the dogfights so people can see the colors for each plane clearly that would be awesome

I imagine your ability to stay in a good mood during fights like these is likely due to the fact that you are also time travelling to Normandy and absolutely shredding anyone who gets near you. It was surprising in both this fight and the Eurofighter vs F22 match the extent to which you had to fight the missile rather than the other plane.

Now I want a defensive missile implement for fighters that detaches from the plane pointing rearward and then tracks incoming missiles to detonate right next to or in front of them. I'll call it... the Vs. Seeker. A missile that wishes to do battle with other missiles! I'm sure it's been thought of before and just hasn't proven practical enough for best-practice tier, but man would I love to see it work just once.

The difference seems to be the missiles man. Your helmet sight is not locking up the Eurofighter when his missiles are onto you at the same moment
Hey GS could you try recreating the scene from TG2 where the F-14 fires a Fox-2 and the Su-57 does a Kvochurs bell to avoid it without firing a single flare? So many people i see are arguing if it would actually work and would be cool to see whether it actually does.

that double fox2 hit are very cool shot for sure. but my favorite no.1 still be the 360 degree flat spin no scope fox2 of yours.
One Ukrainian fighter pilot noted that the Mig-29 is the strongest on the "vertical plane" as opposed to the Flanker's "horizontal plane" advantage from its high AoA ability.
It seemed the Eurofighter handles a lot more closer to the Flanker than the Fulcrum, being able to do a mini-Cobra to get the nose pointed at the last moment, as opposed to the Fulcrum

I think you could have ended first round even with guns few times. One round where your rockets hit you were unfocused and didnt turn and made a large space in between. So it would be a lot closer if not for the mistakes. Good video as always.

I don't know, it looks like the Mig-29 would have a 6/10 chance of a successful kill, but I think a more modern Mig-29 would have had a possible chance or perhaps trying out India Mig-29, but either way it was an interesting HOBT dogfight!

You should do the US vs Russia thing again but with the rule that you can't choose the same jet twice so it's more interesting.
Do like 5 or 6 rounds so you can have different engagements.
Also make it bandit unknown so you have to choose your jet carefully.

Why, when using differential thrust, do you power down the outside engine when trying to point the nose as opposed to the inside engine? Understanding that cars and planes are different, in a car, if you want to create a rotation to the left, you can slow the inside tire, like with traction control systems. But in these videos, when rolling left, you power down the right. Wouldn't the opposite create a faster change of direction? Or would the difference be too much?
well in the flat scissor the nose is already pointed left, I want the thrust to push me right. In other cases I want the DT to help me push my nose in the direction of my nose, in the flat scissor I want the DT to help me counter my nose direction so I can stay with him in the flat scissor. I don't know if that makes a lot of sense in text like this.

You are actually a very capable teacher, GS. You entertain us, but also give us pilot school. Sometimes twice a day, lol. Longshot too.
But the original poster is right, your thrust seemed counterintuitive in the scissor, until you explained why.
But in either case, your use of DT is specifically to grant you better nose authority, to constantly maneuver into position relative to the enemy, and draw him into the HUD, right? It seems like it gives you just that little bit of sideslip, to drift that nose around, without bleeding all your energy.

I think you were a second too late on your R73 launches. That Eurofighter pulled some impressive moves though. Let’s see if the official module does the same. I am also weary of the flight models in mods. A bit too over hyped in some.
