Only saw the highlights but from the comments it seems like the towel should have been thrown in earlier. If your fighter is not looking like it’s his night, it’s better to pull him out and save him for a potential rematch. Haney was also probably overtrained. The mind isn’t fully developed until you’re 25, and I don’t think you have your peak strength till around 27/30. Garcia looks more natural and stronger at this weight.

Fact of the matter is any other trainer would’ve stopped that fight, but his dad’s pride wouldn’t allow him to throw in the damn towel. He knew that the judges would favor his son as the champ but to subject him to 15 more minutes of brain damage is beyond stupid.

What a performance from Ryan, absolutely destroyed Haney. The ref was ruining the fight too and clearly favouring Haney, so I'm glad Ryan didn't get robbed in the end. All those boxing experts and haters talking BS before the fight about Ryan, when Ryan was just acting, are now looking like fools. That will be one of the best fights of the year for sure. Hopefully Ryan doesn't give Haney a rematch, just like Haney didn't give Loma a rematch.
