Devin accepted the fight at 140 and put his belt on the line. That means if Devin did not make weight, he would have lost his belt. Ryan agreed to the dehydration clause when the fight was signed. Devin was put in a position were he either not fight or save the PPV. In addition, not making weight is disrespectful to the sport, period.

Devin agreed to the 1.5 million dollars in the overweight agreement. Just check out what Boxing Ego showed after the fight. On video at the location Devin said that Garcia is just an ordinary boxer and the weight wasn’t going to matter, because he believed he was levels above Garcia. The weight had nothing to do with Ryan catching Devin clean with the left hook in the first round. Just stop with the excuses. Devin didn't give Loma a rematch. Ryan will be Devin at 147 also. Ryan is faster and more powerful than Devin. Devin is accustomed to fighting smaller guys that he have the size, weight, height and reach advantage.

@edwardschmelz6323 Haney's style of outscoring his opponents has prevailed against 31 boxers. He got caught by Ryan's left hook (and only weapon). Dev battled back from one but got caught twice more and paid the price. Teofimo's not Ryan Garcia.
There's a reason Teo avoided fighting Haney @ 135 and went for what he thought was an easier fight against Kambosos. We all know how that went.
3 lbs. is constantly mentioned, nobody has mentioned the fact that in his last four fights he rehydrates to at least 20 to 25 lbs heavier than all the opponents.

I Love Loma but Idk about that. Look what Teo did to Loma in a.close fight Loma lost.. Loma took too long to adjust to a young fighters power, speed and accuracy then lost the 12th. Keyshawn has all that but better than Teo. I'd Love to see it though, but for Loma to fight him he'd need to have one of the belts bc Loma wants nothing but to be undisputed Lightweight champ. He's fighting Kambosas bc Haney took the belts from him (really both Kambosas AND Loma) to try to force Haney to fight him or look like he's scared. Then Devin screws Loma AGAIN by losing to Ryan and he still lost a belt! Loma's only focus is undisputed at this weight class. If he wanted just undisputed he could have done it fighting at/closer to his natural weight, but he's so good he wants the bigger challenge. He's special, but he has to go for the KO to take it out of the judges hands, but I don't think k he has that power. I know he doesn't at this class, but he CAN KO guys just by throwing accurate combos. He shook Devin more than once & really won that fight easily imo. I hope he gets his shot again, or he won't be remembered for being as special as he really is. He's up there with Bud! If Bud fought at 168 then it'd be what Loma is doing.
