I think the problem was not whether she chose to collaborate with Jerusha or not, but rather her response "you can't afford my fee". It's presumptious and rude. She has no idea of Jerusha's finances. You say not to judge anyone but that's exactly what she did. She judged Jerusha.

Hi Andri...great topic. I took it as if Jerusha is just taking a break. Also, going to a restaurant is different than being invited to someones home to eat...it is not a friendly interaction as you, the owner, are not joining them at the table. I feel that if you collaborate you could both post the video. Some of these YT people are really full of themselves. Remember the people you see on the way up may be the ones you see on the way down.

Both of your points are valid. I would add if Jerusha help this “Friend” grow her channel and she is where she is today because of there friendship, then I would be hurt to know she was used and it wasn’t a true friend.

It‘s not friends, it’s buisness partners, if you charge them for a collab. Time is money, but for your friends, you should have some time (obviously not doing videos all the time, but every once in a while)

Interesting topic. I have a love hate relationship with YT as both a creator & viewer. It can be fun and rewarding, you can learn and use it for research etc. I love connecting and in a small way helping my subbies by reviewing things etc. however it can become toxic as she describes and for me I would never advise anyone to make a career out of it unless it’s linked to something else. The internet is not the real world and I would like to see my girls for example finding something more meaningful to do x

Well MELISSA55 has more subscribers than JC. 140,000. She had a video on how much she makes a month. Well she only makes $400 a month. I won't do anything for $400 a month. So who is lying??? I was told that I couldn't build my house by several people. Not only did we build it we paid it off long ago. Only you know what you capable of. ONLY YOU

I would not want to charge a close friend, but that said if someone wanted to charge a "friend" that's their business, and the friend being charged can just say no to collaborate/pay if they don't want to. Some people are more generous and free with their time than others.
If I invited I friend to my restaurant which I quite often did of course there would be no charge but if they booked then they’re a paying customer ❤️❤️❤️
@@AndrisWorld of course, I agree and understand - I would never expect anything free if I initiated the collab or restaurant meal. I was thinking that if a friend had a business I would never expect service or things for free just because we're friends.
No I would never charge my “ friends” to collaborate on a video. Your comparison to a restaurant is Not the same. It takes hundreds of dollars to run a restaurant plus you have a staff. CZcams is a hobby for most people. Only a handful of people make “ real money” meaning thousands. Those are the subscribers that only do CZcams and have loads of sponsorship.
Friendship and business don’t mix ; that being said , my friendship will always come first. 😊

I dont think its ok for a friend to charge for a collaboration unless the friend inly had CZcams as a primary source of income. Would you charge another restauranteur in your town to dine in your restaurant? Maybe, but my guess is you would comp them. As a professional courtesy.

Lots of assumptions being made here. Jerusha has a right to her opinions just as you have yours and I have mine. None of us can say that Jerusha's comments are right or wrong..they are her opinions and she's entitled to them.
She absolutely is entitled her opinions, the video wasn’t made to prove Jerusha wrong is was simply a discussion and as mentioned made for entrainment purposes and not based on facts .

I think whoever you are, if you post on social media you want some attention of some sort, or why would you do it !
It doesn’t make someone a bad person or egotistical, but you are after a response, you hope it’s a good response and not a bad one, but you want someone to engage with what you are saying/showing.
“Sharing your wealth” people are most definitely doing that if they are showing what they have bought on SM i.e if they have bought a flashy car and have parked it outside of Harrods. Or showing their latest holiday to the Maldives. They are wanting an audience. Are they showing off a little ? …..probably, but I guess that depends who they are showing their things off too !
For example if someone bought a birkin are they showing off to the people who can’t afford one, or cant get their hands on one from the boutique …..“perhaps”, but if the viewer had a closet full of birkins they aren’t going to be that impressed with you showing off just one, you would need more than they have to impress them. The person showing off their Lamborghini outside of Harrods, isn’t really going to impress the person who has a more expensive Lamborghini. The wealth tier system is only impressed with those that have more than them.
“Quiet Luxury”…..sounds even more expensive, something that only those of a certain class would know about. A secret place for only the true wealthy. So elite that everybody wants a bite of it, yet not every body can afford it. At the end of a day, a company came up with a product/idea that they wanted to make money out of, they were able to sell it to a few affluent people who spread the word amongst their own. It’s just another product, like all the other millions of products out there, just waiting for somebody to come along and buy into the idea, and make the company money for the idea/product . They aren’t doing you a favour, they are a business and are out to build their own wealth. They don’t care if you are covered in their logo’s it’s all free advertising, and they don’t care if you are carrying their low key/highly expensive bag. They don’t even care if you use it or not. All they care about is that the money keeps rolling in.

I didn’t watch her video so I’m not sure what was said but from what you said I can see both sides. Yes it would hurt my feelings if a friend said that but also, it is business. The thing too, although we have no idea who the friend is, chances are they aren’t a real friend. These CZcams friendships and just mentioning each other isn’t friendship. Sorry but it just isn’t. I know she use to reference a lot of really big people and they weren’t nearly the same as her channel. Hers was more preloved and fun vlogs where as people she spoke about were very highly known and more in the beauty side. If that’s the case I can see a hang up. But if they are in the Luxury world…maybe it was just a business issue? Who knows. I can see both sides. I’m sure she will be back, I think she truly enjoys CZcams.
I think if she felt hurt by their actions there must have been some sort of relationship but like you said we don’t know .
I totally agree about CZcams friendships we’ve seen many fall outs over the years .

IDK. i think jerusha is on the money. YT is not a career, and i dont care if a person has millions of subs.
I think many have made it into a very successful career and honestly believe Jerusha will be back because she will miss it and nothing to do with money but we all have our different opinions and that’s good or this world would be a very boring place, thank you for taking the time to share yours xxx
