    Who is listening this still in 2024. March. Slade was the most brutal best british band ever. I was a fan from the very first moment till the bitter end. But i still like them

    Как же времечко то летит, прошло 47 лет как впервые их услышал , вроде бы уже взрослый мужик, внуки подрастают , а слушаешь и кайфуешь как мальчишка, спасибо Slade !

      Внук уже права на вождения авто получил, а я всё ещё мальчишка слушающий Slade, 48 лет назад на магнитофоне Днепр 12м с плёнкой типа 6 из за чего в комнате стоял запах уксусной эссенции для склейки ленты, как это было недавно.

      Посмотрите фильм Slade in Flame, на русском языке. Довольно интересное кино получилось. И в музыкальном плане, и в философском.

      To an extent. Music wise, they were very serious, however, when it came to their image, I think they both dressed & acted the way they did for the audience to both enjoy themselves & Slade's music. Never saw them. Wish I did....

    I saw Slade in Bradford in 72 and they were awesome! Sounded just like the records but heavier. In the almost 50 years since then I have seen a LOT of bands but that concert is one that stays with me.

    Slade...Sladest record slayed a lot of people..the ultimate party band of the 70's. Noddy's voice is incredible (no mic dubbing or reverb there) he sounds like that.
    Believe it or not...I think that I had a checkered pair of pants like Noddy's.

      Wildhorses133, that's a good point and you're right. They never had the "make-over" that every pop band has these days to get the right "image". In fact, I don't recall the pop and rock acts of the '70s having make-overs; they were mostly left to express their own individual creativity. Slade are an underrated band. Best regards.

    when I was younger I used to laugh at Slade with one of my best friends. it was at the end of the 80' when we listened to the old records 45 tours with face A and face B. Now, Slade is one of my favorite bands.

    Bekomme immer feuchte Augen, es war meine Zeit, meine Jugend. Die Musik von Slade gehörte dazu, wie die Luft zum atmen, ehrlich und kompromisslos. Solche Bands gibt es schon lange nicht mehr.

    Slade had a huge cult following in the States in the early 70's . It's a shame the Us did not except them as they did in the Uk . We were going through some crazy times back then. Lot of people never realized That there remake of the song Cum on feel the noise by Quit Riot helped kick of the 80's hair bands. I believe Twisted Sisters were influenced by Slade also. I spent a lot of time back then introducing Slades music to everyone I knew.. The album Slayed Slade was a big hit With everyone . And we still listen to it..

    Slow ballad or hard rocker, Noddy and the lads always looked HAPPY , and that is such an upper for an audience.

    Liverpool had John Paul George & Ringo, The midlands had Noddy Dave Jim & Don. Slade ! Two Bands that dominated my young life.I was so lucky.

    the best band ive ever seen floyd, pistols, lizzy, nirvana,the who, ac/dc, jam, etc, great but slade live are something else, hardrock theatre stretford manchester 1973, changed my musical life

    A quei tempi avevo 10 anni e li ascoltavo già tramite mio zio, ascoltavo led Zeppelin Depp purple Alice Cooper , America, hotel California ecc. ecc.
