Great video.👍 Vitamin D daily intake is definitely one to discuss further with a doctor. As it depends on factors such as latitude, skin tone, and age. Also there’s research that shows it reduces risk of some respiratory diseases - which is important in current context.

Exercised daily but probably more sedentary than most due to chronic illness issues. Took vitamin D and tested levels via ND past decade. Ladies get your bones density test at 50. Don't wait until age 61 and well after menopause when it is very difficult to build bone. The fact they are not testing osteoporosis until age 65 is a travesty in women's health!

She has a video out talking about Osteostrong. She didn't care for the program saying she didn't see it as adequate for anybody with Osteoporosis/penia because of the time constraints of the program.
She has other suggestions and works with many many ppl who suffer with these bone problems. Who better to know what to do than her?!
She prefers isometric-type exercises for maintaining bone and said the whole body vibration plate Marodyne LiV is worth the hefty price tag, in case you might be interested.

You would find that these exercises being cardio also help ease any depression if you may suffer from the that.

A word of advice from a 67yo with Osteopenia.
It's not a good idea to down a lot of Calcium like you're doing! It can build up in your arteries and give you heart problems or a stroke. You need to get the calcium through the food you eat. That's the safest way. There's different kinds of calcium. Calcium Carbonate is common & difficult to digest and absorb.
Calcium Citrate is better but, again you need the proper foods--not heavy dose pills.
Vitamin D, a fat soluble vitamin builds up in your body & too much can be a problem. You don't say how much you take. 2000IU/day should be enough. More than that a day you may be playing with fire.
As far as exercise to ward off bone loss disease, you need weight-bearing exercise like walking up a hill, jogging, weight lifting.
There are lots of exercises that don't build bone.
Do some research. Lots of us as we get older are suffering from fractures, pain, and severe side effects in case you think taking osteoporosis drugs are helpful. They are a nightmare!!
Take better care of yourself now. It pays off later. Believe me.

Skipping should be a great exercise for bone remodelling. If you are doing weight training, that could be good too depending on how you are doing it. Would suggest getting to the doctor … bone loss is definitely happening just because of your age, but the pain could be arthritis or other problem. Doctor should help with the diagnosis. However, you might also be overdoing the exercise. Would suggest a qualified physical therapist to monitor your exercise program once you’ve seen a doctor to try to work out if there’s another problem.
