I really like your videos. Very short and informative and unlike some other channels, not trying to sell ads or products.
    Great job!!

What would you do if the floor below wasn’t exposed? Would you have to remove the subfloor above?

Thanks for the video. You're a really good builder. Is it possible to fix the squeaky spots on 2nd floor by shim? Does it require to open the ceiling from 1st floor? The house is almost done. My builder used many screws but it didn't fix the squeaky floor. My brand new house has more than 5 squeaky spots on 2nd floor. I'm so worried

if you screw down the floors and it’s still a problem then it’s probably something really minor but very annoying. if the floor is not finished I suggest cutting out a piece of the sub floor from the top exposing the area where the squeak is then stepping around that area to see if you can locate the squeak. 9 times out of 10 it’s usually where a floor joist is hitting a beam and the there’s very slight movement and the wood is rubbing together either on a steel beam or a wood beam. it’s better if you can create a minor separation even a 16th of an inch of separation just so it’s not rubbing against the beam which is most likely creating the noise. when you’re cutting the sub floor try and go in the middle of the floor joist so when you put the sub floor back it’s easier to put back if you cut it on a joist, but if not you’ll just have to repair it. good luck and I have fixed tons of squeaky floors for over 30 years, there are other circumstances that can cause a squeaky floor but not as common like I said the most likely cause of it is because the floor joists are rubbing against a beam.

Hey Mr Roman Lewczuk, I am wondering what and how much for getting a abandoned building that no one wants if I am planning on going to buy it and renovate the whole rooms and remodel it the way I saw some people who lived in their home differently from HGTV.

@@romanlewczuk966 what I am asking you about if I wanted to buy a building that is abandoned for not sure how long ago and how to do some maintenance for cleaning up the messed that no one has step foot in after several times that passed and I heard some people who are living in those building has to pay some specific fees to be able to afford that place to live and pay the bills on some condition fees that they asked for to do after paid up the approximate price of getting that kind of dream house whether it's a ordinary house or a some tall story building like. Hope that's what I am asking you is enough details

Joist hangers cause lots of floor squeaks if not nailed on properly

100 % right! If I get a squeak in the floor joist where the hanger is I will do a video on it!

I think you want to know how many screws to put in? if that’s the question I would recommend putting 4 or 5 screws in each row of floor joist.
