The best part of a large 2 stroke is the peaky powerband and lack of engine braking. The spookiest thing about them is the peaky powerband and lack of engine braking
Would love to have one of these. I remember in the 90's you could buy a frame from a couple different manufacturers and an engine and assemble a bike and race in the 500 class. There were a few privateers back then that did and it was a glorious time for sure.
@@ducaduke In the USA They TZ Yamahas were race bikes only Grey in 1974 just like my 1974 Yamaha YZ-80-A was.. My friend sold a TZ-350 a few years ago. I told him to call me if he wanted to sell it but he sold it to a Local Repair shop Dealer.
@@stevewilson204 Yes I know that. I have a Brochure of the 1974 Yamaha Line up .. that year in the USA the TZ-'s were grey as was my YZ-80-A. It turns out they only sold about 200 TZ's of each displacement in the USA for Homologations purposes. The TZ-'s did not have lights and were not street legal you are correct. I have a 1984 Yamaha RZ-350 it had Catalytic converters on it .. In most of the rest of the world Yamaha sold the LC-350 which was similar to my RZ-350. Maybe did not have the same Bikini fairing on them .

My 750 Kawi turbo does a pretty good 2T impression but is 475 lbs. and 140 HP.
Simply the best ...
This would be the first thing on my list to buy if I won the lottery.

I went to the IOM TT in 2022. The absolute one bike I wanted to see was the Suter and it wasn't there. Awesome video btw!
great video brother
I would work at Suter for minimum wage just to be near this bike.
The MotoGp Ducati is a single crank, the MMX is twin crank so the gyroscopic effect is cancelled
In 1974 for example you could buy a Yamaha TZ-250 350 500 & TZ-750
I agree with. I actually am dying to find one to buy. But that was a street legal bike. Not a race ready 😊.

@Mike Skidmore
All TZ's where pure race bikes world wide. The 2 stroke road bikes where RD's.
