I made this beautiful color block poncho from Premier Serenity Bulky weight Size 5 yarn. It's so soft and lovely and I am in awe of how soft it is!
This is my new "FREE" pattern! I am so excited to share it with you. It turned out even better than I imagined it would. Just send me an email and I'll send the pattern to you - sparklyone60@gmail.com
You'll need between 600-800 yards of your favorite Size 5 Bulky weight yarn and a size 11 interchangable circular needle that can be enlarged to 47 inches. You can customize it to your liking.

For a fun set of needles, I invested in a 60 inch Addi Ewenicorn circular needle. I now want them ALL! 🥰

I'm using premier sweet roll yarn and it's 4 weight yarn. Will this work out and will I see the design of the yarn overs I just started the body of the poncho or do I need to use the same yarn you used.
At the edging I want to do the purl stitch. How do I do it at the curve you did for crochet doing 3 crochet , how would I do it for purling.

Wonderful tutorial. Thank you! Im aiming to make it bigger and windering if ithers have tried it larger. My head size/ neck are not so big so im thinking I shouldnt increase the case in so much, might just need to increase the body more, or wondering if i should do a couple of extra increases at the shoulders. I'll play with it. Seems easy to measure as you go.

I'm not sure how many stitches you’ll need. It depends on how big she is. I would start with the same collar size as the one in the video, but use a smaller needle and I think it will work out nicely. Of course you’ll make it a bit shorter. Hope that helps! Keep me posted 😍🧶🙌🏻

I have a question do we have to make the neck line?
Also do we have to make the front part and back part and then see it or does it all come in one piece when we make it?
I’m sure you could experiment if you’re an experienced knitter. It seems like it will turn out nicely.

Absolutely! You might have to adjust the chain at the beginning to a longer chain to accommodate for the change of the yarn size. Multiples of 4 are required to get the proper count for size adjustments. Hope that makes sense 🥰🧶

Hi Clair, I changed the color on the side if the poncho. If you watch at 34:10 you’ll se how I change the color
I cast on 56 sts and when come to increase, it’s only 74sts, not 84 sts as the pattern said.( I did k2, kfb). Therefore, can’t divide 2 parts with even number each. Gave up !
Oh no! I’m so sorry it didn’t work out. I’ve had hundreds of people tell me that it was super easy and never had an issue. I’m not sure where it went wrong. I hope you can figure it out. Please watch the video around the 18 minute mark. I explain how to get the triangle shape. It starts right after you make the collar. It sounds like you missed a step. Keep me posted

Hi Peaches, I think it was about 10” for the gray color, but you can make it as many rows as you want. It depends on the length you want. I love this pattern because it gives you freedom to be creative with your colors. I’m so happy your having fun! That’s always my goal 🧶🥰🙌🏻 Keep me posted 😘

Yes, I really think it will still fit you, if you use the same size yarn and same size needles. You may have to add a few extra rows if you want it longer.
