@@ChuckHaney oh no, Lewis knows this well. It’s the entire reason he started the Yogscast. I think it was an old podcast interview where he detailed that he started Yogscast to show people this absolute nut case that he had been playing WoW with (Simon) and that it just kinda took off from there
@@ChuckHaney In case you're (wrongly) assuming this because Simon doesn't appear as much in videos anymore, and had a long period where he was nearly absent, that's Simon's personal choices and not Lewis disregarding him.

Yum Yum. PISS NEWSSSS! Love how Simon made a "Diggy Diggy hole man" joke and is now fully embracing it! Someone: "Do you know who the Diggy Diggy Hole Man is?" Simon: "Well of course I know him. He's me." 20:00 This is like every math question ever.... except with pee. "Pee is being wasted. That pee is gold!" - Simon Lane 2022. 24:27 "Cause they haven't got ears. Corn has." Okay Simon, THAT was a cleverly inserted joke. SMOOTH! LMAO
The energy of this video is fabulous. Lewis is looking fantastic with his hair cut. He looks soooo much younger! I still love Simon’s shaved head look too.
As a biologist, when Lewis started googling "dolphin p e n i s" I already started laughing before they even revealed the result, because I was anticipating his facial expression. 😁But yes, dolphins, whales and other Cetaceans are mammals; they have the same genitalia as humans (except the males keep their p**** hidden safely in a skin pouch when not in use), they breathe air (no gills, they're not fish!), their female have uteruses and give live birth and they nurture their young with milk. Female dolphins have two mammary slits on their underside, which each have an inverted nipple inside, and for the baby dolphin to suckle the mother had to open the slits first. Dolphin and whale mother's milk is among the most fatty and nourishing among mammals, as the babies need to grow a thick layer of fat quickly to be protected from the cold ocean water. Humans would not be able to digest that milk, it has way too much fat in it for our digestive tracts.
15:50 as a postgrad engineering/science student, I can confirm that jobs like these are mostly looking at numbers on computer screens, and then writing something and making ms word crash. Sometimes someone else who looked at numbers on a computer screen wrote code that converts your numbers to pretty pictures and graphs, which makes a nice change. :P
I am not sure the takeaway of the dolphin pee article is that dolphins are the only mammal that identifies by pee taste. Taste for them is like scent for land creatures, in fact in humans, smell and taste are very related senses. So a dolphin tasting for familiar pee is like a dog sniffing a tree for familiar pee. I don't see as it's such a remarkable thing, it's common in mammals they are just doing it their way because they are in water.
YumYum just I had too! Been just listening to a bunch of your posts in reverse order slowly working back into history and laughing as I go. Your Peculiar Portions are a delicious treat to listen to while playing games, that require me to pause ever now and then to look at images. Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Lewis has had quite the glow up over the years. He used to look like your basic nerd back in the minecraft days. He has drastically changed his appearance for the better. Looking good 👍
In Australia, Proffessor's are higher than Doctors in Academia, but they're also *Required* to do so much research &/or teach classes in University as well in order to keep their Professorship if I'm not mistaken, the title of Professor is usually only given to those whom have demonstrated outstanding competence and academic leadership in research, teaching, and service as well as achieving international recognition of their scholarship, typically you'd start off as a Lecturer and as you progress you work your way up to Professor.
"Can you do the accent?" YOU KNOW LEWIS THOUGHT ABOUT IT FOR A MOMENT! I mean, old yogscast wouldn't have even thought twice about doing it so good on them for learning
not sure about lactose intolerance but I grew up with a dairy allergy and was lucky enough to see a specialist when I was about 10 and they basically prescribed me gradually increasing doses of milk in other drinks until I could drink a whole 250ml glass of standard milk (as opposed to boiled). so I've basically been "cured" of my allergy that way but if I go a long period of time without any milk in my diet the allergy does start to come back. Maybe that's what Simon was thinking of at 8:15
My company I used to work at, helped work on that dolphin study with Dr Jason Bruck! I used to be a marine mammal specialist and dolphins are the funniest research partners
15:39 As an astrophysicist, I am shocked and appalled by this misrepresentation of our field. Actually we mostly sit at a computer looking at line graphs. And listening to yogs in the background of course.
Huh, not as large as I thought it would be. LoL DisneyWorld, you mean SeaWorld? That professor is a quack. LoL those Africans would do something like that🤣 *YUM YUM*
Simon, go watch some youtube archive of the show Flipper for reference, I think trying to channel your inner dolphin you got a pterodactyl instead :) Also LOL homeopathy.
I watched a presentation on homeopathy at a folk festival once and I think British people would have described it as "bollocks." The person actually used the example that a certain plant's essence is good for bruises because it grows on rocky hills and if you fall on rocks you can get bruises so that makes the plant a good bruise medicine? Also the idea of more dilute potions being more potent is anti-rational. They are selling vials of distilled water and saying it's super-medicine because all that's left is the idea of the plant...may as well just practice voodoo. Actually voodoo is more dignified than homeopathy.
Excrements have been used for millenia as fertilizer. But you can overdo it... saturating the soil with too much urine and thus nitrogen will poison the ground water level and can also kill the plants from too much of a good thing; depending on species, some (i.e. stinging nettles) can tolerate high levels of nitrogen, some need the nitrogen and others dont: plants like legumes and clover have symbiotic bacteria on their roots which "fix" air nitrogen for them and accumulate it in the soil where the roots can pick it up, thus helping other neighboring plants as well.
Pee was collected in cities in times gone by for use in the leather tanning business, poop was also collected for use as fertiliser but this no longer happens because of the potential for spreading pathogens
17:10 I'm gonna call a bit of bull on this one. Here in America we usually use "professor" for teachers university/college level and above. Also, don't put anything down a dolphin's blowhole! That's their nostril! It's how they breathe... it leads into their lungs. (They can close it when diving underwater, they only open it to breathe out and in once when they surface.)

I second this
He looks a bit like himself in the trials fusion challenge years ago
the thom yorke effect
It looks like one of his previous haircuts
I literally came to the comments to say this exact same thing!
Yum yum

Lewis cut his hair about 5 minutes ago and he is already lecturing others about midlife crises.
