Curry scored on a dribble drive, passing Doncic's feeble defense, for an easy layup. Doncic missed his layup the next play (he also missed the 3 pointer in the play before. Good team defense by the Warriors). That was the difference and the game. Also I thought that was a bad play drew up by the Mav's coach. They should've gone for a 3 point shot with only 8 seconds left.
I think they did but Draymond top guarded Luka and they got baited into taking the two. High IQ play by Dray tbh.

They probably drew a play where Luka will get a lay up and a foul to make it a 3pt play then miss the and-one to get the rebound and get another 2pt lay up. Luka didn't have the luck this time, Green's defense was lit.
Curry’s layup became easy all because of Draymond Green.
Pretty sure they did, but if Klay wasn't alert to switch on Hardy, Mavs would have gotten off a 3. Draymond had very good defense on Luka, as he stayed vertical to cause Luka to miss the shot.

Draymond chose to top block him so the Mavs would take the “easy 2” instead of going for a game tying 3 point attempt. So even if Luka makes that shot they’re still down by 1 and would’ve had to foul when the warriors inbound the ball.

I think the Dubs learned their lesson in 2016 -- running themselves dry in pursuit of the 73-9. They were running on empty by the time of the playoffs. This year they used the regular season as teaching time for the youngsters, trying different combinations in dry runs to work out the kinks. This approach would have been impossible with the playoff formats of recent decades. Now, they don't have to win the west in the regular season; they just need to slide into one of the numerous playoff berths, shower, grab a massage, change into their Dubs Invitational jerseys, and set to work, rested and healthy. They've compressed 3 years of Kuminga seasoning into 6 months, and allowed Wiggins the space to solve life without incurring a later psychological scar. Their other young-uns have learned how all the parts fit together, and learned where they fit in the overall scheme. Good God, what a master class of patience and visionary planning. The playoffs are truly going to be The Warriors Invitational for the foreseeable future. And that's as it should be. The Dubs do everything right, and deserve to prosper for as long as they can keep it up.

That non-existent foul on Donte was vindicated with a missed free throw and a win for GSW. These referees are blatantly helping the home team 90% of the time this season, it's ludicrous.
