How do I know what size eye to buy for my rod?

Guides are measured by the outside diameter (OD) of the ring in millimeters. So a 16mm od is a size 16, 20mm od is a size 16 etc. When measure tip tops you also need to measure tube diameter to fit the width of your blank at the tip.
