You need some copper somewhere along the distillation process, it reacts with the lavender giving it a different more robust and distinct lavender smell. Copper somewhere is a must. Great video!
I think there's too much extra plant matter and probably should suggest to use distilled water in the tank, since tap and well waters will have things in them that will ruin the tank.
