While Respawn Entertainment left Titanfall franchise for more perspective Apex Legends and everyone is trying to convince that the game is dead, we are still here. Titanfall is already outlived such genre killers like LawBreakers, Splitgate, Halo Infinite. Thanks to community support TF2 got mods and custom servers. that's not really the problem as titans are extremely modifiable and adaptable. it's just that she touched some unknown stuff coming out a nuclear battery and she sucked it through her fingers(?) and suddenly she has powers. kinda makes a lame backstory to how she got her power and adopted the monarch theme
Idk why people keep saying the radiation gave here powers. Her kit looks like it comes from all the tech on her back, she just got terminal cancer from touching that battery imo
as I remember most of the legends have lame backstory, but I think this type of game doesn't require good storytelling
That seems to be a mislead from the trailer, she uses gear for her abilities like almost everyone else.

@@perhaps4887 idk i watched bobz's video and alot of things suggest the power comes from her heart (she got those veins from her hand to her heart). Gotta wait and find out tho, nothing's clear just yet
Just to some things up...
what makes sense:
-Jumping titans, it's just overly exaggerated since it's a kid's memories
-Titans running different guns, that's just titanfall
what doesn't make sense:
-how does a battery cause such an explosion, it clearly wasn't the titan's reactor since the chassis still exists later on in the trailer
-how does conduit not get cancer
edit: Conduit is confirmed to have cancer
Prob put all of the reactors power into the battery and make a nuclear explosion
That's not possible Also the Pilot could've ejected xd
@@josemarianinamoreno8047 Surrounded by 5 titans he'd get shot out the sky, explains why protocol 3 wasn't enacted with the self destruct as there wasn't really a choice.
Also it's monarch, he definitely used overcore.

not really Titans can indeed do such jumps ofc It limits to chassis but they ARE that mobile also WTF do you guys Think batteries ARE made for they have to be equally or superior in energy levels to feed such a core from a Titan so It makes Sense that when pressured they would cause such explosion

Go watch "Titanfall 2 Single Player Cinematic Trailer" and go to 1:35 to see a scorch using the same gun as BT
(I say BT bc during the cinematic, monarch did not exist yet as he came after the campaign lore wise)

Don’t care if titans are using different weapons, it was never suggested that they were specifically designed towards a gun (except legion)
My biggest gripe is how fucken dumb conduits lore is.
So she got her powers by touching a most likely radioactive battery that would kill any normal flesh person without protection on but nah apparently cause the power of family and urge to join a blood sport means she’s a exception
next legend will touch grass and will get the greatest power of all time)

Idk. Apex was never as grounded as titanfall was and I can't get mad at some one being bit by a radioactive spider.
titan actually can do like climb(atlas and stryder class titan),and do the flip,and jump,and because war IMC have some shortage of resources ,so some titans will use old gears

Remember people that the titans in Titanfall 2 are not able to use every weapon and that is literally a part of the lore, they could do it in Titanfall 1 because those titans were more expensive and more personalised, in 2 they are mass produced to save materials and time, that’s why the vanguard titans are so special, because amongst all the mass produced titans they can use any weapon

What about in Titanfall 2’s opening cutscene where Scorch uses an XO-16?
@@drcrimsoniam9395 I believe the intro cutscene was either made early in development or it could be because it looks better, because the ronnin in the same cutscene didn’t even have a gun so they were likely going for rule of cool for it

Not really following, they all seem to be using the correct guns. And even if they weren’t. Titanfall 1 established that titans aren’t set to one specific weapon. Even in Titanfall 2 BT uses all load outs and multiple Northstar chassis use rocket launchers.

bt is able to use all the weapons because he is a vanguard. And northstar is the only non-vanguard to use the rocket launchers, we don't see any other titan use it aside from her

Titans are customizable...... Titanfall 1 titans can mix and match weapons and kits....... the only thing that isn't realistic in that cutscene is the regular battery being used as a nuke battery.

I mean, EA is known for breaking lore. They completely reworked how Viper died. Instead of him falling out of his Titan when we kill him, his body was instead “found frozen still inside his Titan”.

99% Legends have a lame backstory, its a battle royale game, why they shouldn't?
@@ultraparalon Despite it BEING a battle royale game, they clearly took no attempt to atleast put a little effort to explain how it would affect her if its radioactive and considering the fact that she doesn't get cancer yet.. Backstories matter to me. A good example is revenant, he's badass and has a good story, and most of the legends... just don't.

also monarch was an IMC design titan reversed engineered off the vanguard titan. so.. is that an IMC pilot fighting the militia?

Why? The Monarch titan Was on the Black market really fast. Also you can just play ares or something with monarch and you "broke the lore"
The Militia got most of their titans by stealing them from the IMC. So Its just as likely that the Monarch In the video was also stolen
@@Alive19_ Not really the militia during the whole war constantly stole IMC titans so it isnt out of the question that you just did that.
Also most voice lines in multiplayer adress the player as a mercenary. There is also implication that pilots almost all pilots are mercenaries, rather then directly affiliated with a specific side.
So you can just argue that either your pilot stole a monarch from IMC or that bought it from IMC as a mercenary. Either case works fine for lore.
One such Voiceline is Briggs addressing you when you go on a kill streak by saying "I knew I hired the right pilot"
That Monarch has half of the sun from the Philippine flag painted on it. So unless the IMC has a group made exclusively of people with Filipino ancestry, that's most likely a mercenary with a Monarch bought from the black market.
