The Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation, serve as one of the two main factions in both Titanfall games, yet their capabilities and reach are rarely discussed or even considered.
I like how respawn completely lost the ability to write a story so they just made the IMC super cartoonishly evil and then removed them from the game entirely.
Another thing to consider is that, as stated in the lore, a lot of the IMC factions hire mercenaries so they don't have to expend their own forces. It's entirely possible once the reinforcements arrive and their position isn't so shaky they'll just give them the boot altogether since they figure they don't need them any more. While mercs are obviously profit driven, a combination of revenge and pragmatism (no more jobs if the corp doesn't want freelance titan pilots hanging around) could see them defect en-masse to the resistance. Give them more of a chance.
wouldn't be too smart for IMC to fire all mercenaries altogether, considering that these groups are highly trained and effective (Like Apex Predators). It's just not logical of them to let loose all those battle-hardened and experienced pilots.
@@lourenslashsky1830it’s a corporation it only does stuff for its own selfish gain without any thought of the consequences behind it, since have you looked at our current company’s are doing which is doing stuff for short term gain for massive long term cons
Do I see my favorite Tera Corp? I love the not so subtle lore of Titanfall. If you remember Respawn was born because of the Infinityward split off from Activision.
ye- I would highly doubt if they do a next story that the militia is likely to survive in any capacity, however given just how big space is in general I don't think its unheard of that the IMC would be having similar rebel issues on other stars. there could be hundreds or even thousands of conflicts that the IMC has to snuff out on the daily and this one situation gets lost in the noise. great video btw love me some sifi stuff even if TF3 will never happen.
I think a third option would be incredibly interesting. That the IMC does return to the frontier but not the same IMC that both factions knew. At the end of the day the IMC is a corporate conglomerate and because of that the focus of the company can also shift depending on the people in charge. Hypothetically, the IMC had a boardroom change after losing the gate to the frontier. Not every company has terrible bosses / managers. Perhaps a few members wanted a shift from the militaristic exploitation. Perhaps the reason the reinforcements were taking so long is that the IMC was held up and changing either due to internal issues or external issues (ie: governments of Earth disbanding or reducing their power). So when the IMC repairs the gate and returns to the frontier to an all-out war of attrition between the local militias and the remaining IMC warlords, the now reformed and remorseful IMC stares and horror at the mess that was left and decides to clean the house. Even spotlight may not recognize the new IMC because of how different it was from the previous regime. The militia won't trust them because they're still called IMC and won't give them a chance. And the reformed IMC won't tolerate the warlord nature of the previous IMC. This leads to the large superpowered imperial faction fighting everybody while claiming they're here to help.
Titanfall lore? Incredible. I love this game. Here's an idea for the next game's beginning (super basic idea): We play as either a militia or IMC pilot doing business as usual for the Frontier after the battles of Demeter and Typhon. Around a quarter to a third of the way through the game, the IMC reinforcements finally arrive. Maybe they arrive several years early due to technological advancement. Needless to say, this changes the course of the war significantly.

Could you do a lore video on other countries of fallout? For example Australia and how that country interacted with US or china pre war, and theorised what a post apocalyptic Australia be like.
If we get a titanfall 3 I want to play from the imc side, playing as a grunt with the imc reinforcements who would give us perspective on why the imc needs the frontier or even seeing spyglass return would be sick.

Whilst I'm not too familiar with Titanfall lore; perhaps if there's some kind of Federal Government for the core worlds it gets sick of the IMC's antics and lack of progress. Then sends it's own military in to restore order on the Frontier.
Not sure, but there definitely is at very least nations on Earth, probably a global government. I doubt they would get involved, though. IMC is the main military force and serves their interests.
what if caser did not go full psychotic megalomaniac? basically, a morally grey legion with more redeeming qualities and less outright evil. adding to the nuance of war for the mojave.

Please do more for Titanfall. I know there isn't that much lore to work with, but "what if" videos like what you did with Fallout would be great.
We seriously need a Titanfall 3, & Titanfall 4,5,6,7,8, & 9
And revival of titanfall 1, and a full revival of titanfall 2
And Titanfall Multiplayer RPG, probably NOT an MMO.

Because respawn doesn't really give a shit about Titanfall anymore, so they just throw it into Apex whenever they need to boost the player count.
