Man THROWN from Boat going FULL Speed

- My cameras caught an angler being ejected from a passing bass boat while fishing on Lake Seminole. As you can see in the video, the unoccupied boat was stuck at full throttle and doing circles, posing a real danger for anyone nearby. We called 911 and the emergency response team came to assist us.

Yea
Yes I would have helped him if he was okay if there was anything else I could do
Hi
Y’all saved his life. He was physically exhausted and fixing to go under that’s a horrible feeling
What was he fixing?
AllAmericanGuy01 to go under bud, did you not read fully?
AllAmericanGuy01 How do you fix, a “to go under”?
Didn’t want to have to add on to this but, people are so pissed at a joke and it’s stupid. Of course we know what fixing means, is colloquialism. Not many people are really that dumb to not know what it means. It’s a wierd saying for the people whi dont live in the like 7 states that it’s used in lol

There are far more good people like this in the world. Most go unrecognized. It's great to see!
@@redguard2529 I agree. The media doesn't always do the "feel good" stories cause it doesn't help their ratings or fit the fear mongering narrative. Watch a normal news cycle, you'll see way more bad than good on an average day.

makes me so happy to see how fast yall went to go help him, we need more people like you in this world
I’ve always heard that boating communities everywhere are mainly like this, the water can be so dangerous!
I've always wear a life jacket in a boat ! At least when you are moving !
I'm sure anyone else one saw that happen would have gone and helped...it's just lucky that they where close enough and saw it happen
Stop saying we need more people like this in this world. Don’t just say it, be that! Do that! Words means nothing
Boaters are a special breed.
I think you and your dad more than deserve our Honorary Texas Supermen Award - for how fast you reacted and to help someone in need on the water. You never know when/what will happen while out but it’s good to know people like you/your dad are out there also! Kudos @ReelJedi

@@Eggugat we had a camp on Toledo bend and my dad taught us to wear it in the late 70s. I always wear it. Dont want to be fish food.
Never drive you boat without the lanyard switch cord attached to your life jacket. Guy is lucky you were there to help him. He could not have made it back to the shore with his boots and all his close on.
Maybe a little life jacket too.
That ending was about a best case scenario. Good thing you peeps were there.
These two guys are heroes and acted really fast to save a man’s life! As boater myself I’m always watching out for other people and their safety and ready to assist whenever I can! I towed a boat out in the water when it had mechanical problems and that favor was returned to me when my fuel pump when out and someone had to tow me in miles away from the launch ramp!
You guys are awesome man.I lost my cousin on lake placide a number of years ago , thrown from his boat unfortunately he was struck and killed. Terrible loss.so glad you guys were there to save him.He would probably not made it through this without the curage of you and your father god bless you both .❤Real men .
Dude I get it, I fish night tournaments here in Georgia and witnessed a crash at night that killed two people, It was horrific and traumatizing. We heard the collision and were the first people on scene, it was graphic as hell and absolutely horrible/devastating to see what exactly happened. It was the equivalent to a t-bone car crash, so the people that got hit on the side never stood a chance because there was literally nothing to protect them, both people literally took the front end of a bass boat to the head and neck area, the driver was not recognizable, I mean he practically didn't have anything left above the shoulder and the passenger wasn't much better off, you could tell instantly his neck was broke. I mean it was so bad that it was nighttime and the water was stained red if that tells you anything.
@@jonmartin2492 was that Lake Lanier? New people around here are saying it's haunted😂. I was married to a Sea Ray salesman at one time so I was on the lake an awful lot and I'm still here😊

Looks like a real good reminder for everyone our there 1. Make sure your kills switch lanyard works by testing it often. 2. Make you you wear the kill switch lanyard whenever operating the motor. 3. Wear a life jacket cause if no one is around you and you get thrown and cant make it back to your boat hopefully not running anymore you might drawn. Wow that was amazing. So glad he is ok! We had a teenage girl on a PWC and she had life vest on and what you described happened exactly. The life vest popped her back up and her head hit the prop and we spent the day in the ER getting her head stitched up. Luckily she was fine. So glad you all were safe and smart!
Coming to a lake near you, people can't use the simple safety stuff that's available! Glad he is ok and hope he learned a lesson!
You guys did a great job and possibly saved a life. I'm sure most people already know but clipping the safety kill switch lanyard to yourself would have prevented this from happening. You should always have it clipped to you as long as the motor is running, it can save your life.
I was thinking this too. Does every boat have this feature? If not, it should. I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to wire one in either.
@@brickson98m Yes it does, but morons still choose not to use them. You can clearly see it fitted to this boat, the curly red lanyard under the throttle assy.

You can easily turn your blue jeans into a life jacket! Just saying!
@@timralston6379 Exactly this! I taught this back in the day when i was a lifeguard. Tie quick knots in both the legs to keep air from escaping, and blow air in through the waistband and bam you got a floaty. Although difficult at first, once you get the hang of it, it will help you preserve energy instead of treading water to exhaustion.

Thank God no one got hurt. Kill switch is there for a reason.
BP Fishing we have seen people killed like this before. This video clip is worth $1 million as a safety film.
@Alabama Crappie Adventures That's the point is if the boat is in motion you should always have the kill switch lanyard on.
Alabama Crappie Adventures how many people you think actually do? I'd guess in the range of 1%
Alabama Crappie Adventures we fellow Alabamians know how it is on the water! It's more than one way to skin a FISH! Lol
Yo Daguy I do. If my big motor is being used it’s attached to me. I don’t mind being in the 1%
You guys saved this guy's life. Amazing!
Thank you for sharing this, I'm so happy everyone is OK. It was the best outcome for a dangerous situation, thanks to you & your dad
Thank god you were there. All of you younger boaters watch this and learn. Not only to not do what that guy did, but also how ReelJedi handled it. What a class act.
This is what I see all the time, no life jacket no kill switch! Everyone does what this guy does in much faster bass boats! You’ll sink to the bottom with all those cloths on, these guys literally saved his life!
What is recommended to wear besides a life jacket?
Definitely not jeans.
He would've gotten hit with the prop if he had one on
Relax, it won't happen to me, I'm to cool to have an accident
In this case the life jacket not being on saved the guy from getting fucked up by the prop… That said, if no one saw him go in. He was screwed. Kill switch and life jacket is the combo for sure. Especially when solo.
Great stuff. Bad situations happen sometimes and it’s good to know that there are people out there who will put themselves in harm’s way to save another person’s life.

I think the vast majority of people in this country at least are good. I think where people get the interpretation of everyone being terrible is by looking at things through the lens of the internet where people have anonymity and have a place to be a total asshole. Most all of the things you see out of people on the internet don't reflect how they are in real life as a person.
You are good dudes seriously kudos to you guys
If you get out in the real world and get off your computer you'll see that these people exist everywhere

MY FAVORITE PART GO SAVE HIM DAD 0:36
Thank goodness for ppl like you guys 🫡
Sad to say that happened to me and my brother on the San Jacinto river when we were heading toward the Lake Houston Dam. He had the safety ignition release (kill switch) on his wrist. I was at the bow of the boat. At full throttle we hit a submerged log and it instantly broke the steering bar and cracked the lower unit. The whole boat went airborne when we hit the log. We most have done a stunt jump of 20 feet. When the boat came down the bow went into the water and popped up like a cork and I went airborne and so did my brother and the safety ban came off his wrist and did not pull the key out of the ignition. The boat had a full tank of gas. It was a 50HP at full throttle and we ended up in the middle of the San Jacinto River in 50 degrees water and the boat was spinning round us. Both of us can swim but we were afraid the boat was going to hit us. We got rescued just like that guy and the boat spun around in circles until it ran aground on the beach. We were lucky as well.
This is a good lesson for new boaters and complacent boaters. 2 things are mandatory when the boat is under power:
1) life jackets on.
2) Driver is wearing the kill switch lanyard.
Nothing bad comes from doing these 2 things.
@Shubham Dhingra its a key on a lanyard. If you fall out, it pulls out the key and kills the engine. I think all jetskis have them. Lots of boats do too on the throttle.
Killswitch is an often red cord with a clip on the end that attaches to the dash of the boat. This red cord is wrapped around the driver's thigh so that if they go overboard, the cable "kills" the power to the boat.
Life jacket in this case he wouldn't have been able to duck under and dodge the props. but yea, if these guys hadn't gone and seen him he would have drowned in that case life jacket could save him.
Thats not a boat. Its a pretentious wank.
Good reminder, thx!

I was on the edge of my seat throughout this video! I am a boat owner of a fast Barefoot Sanger ski boat. My husband bought a new throttle control with a lanyard safety shut-off tether. I wear it religiously because of a fear of this very thing happening or being ejected from hitting something submerged. I would have tossed out my fenders with line attached or the empty bottles I keep on board to mark logs floating to try to foul the prop before the boat hit somebody’s dock. Excellent reason to make the safety shut-off switch tether a state law
