- If you are looking for a beach off the beaten path in Ukraine, especially during high season in Odesa, make sure you consider the Black Sea coast just outside of the city since there are so many interesting little towns along the way and some of them happen to have some great beaches that only the locals know about! Also if you are in the market for a very budget friendly summer home in a more quiet part of Ukraine, this might be the area for you with properties starting at $20,000. I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. Watching this blog at this difficult time, was showing my husband how beautiful Ukraine is. Tourism is starting to boom and Odessa beaches are beautiful and so peaceful, unlike our beaches here in US, always overcrowded and so expensive to visit. Much love and prayers from Atlanta, Ga.

Hi Alina! Thanks for sharing the beautiful Ukrainian Black Sea coast with us, with your cousin Misha! Here we have other similarities between Ukraine and Lithuania. Increasingly Lithuanian urban dwellers, especially those in Vilnius and Kaunas, have acquired and continue to acquire apartments in or near Klaipėda and/or summer homes along the Baltic Sea coast in and around Palanga or along the Curonian Spit. The advantage of Black Sea coastal properties is that summer lasts longer. The Baltic Sea is cooler, and the summer season effectively ends by the end of August. I'm loving your journey home to family in Ukraine!!!

Hi Alena, great videos, I am happy you are traveling again. I am an American living in Odessa, and I love this wild beach. It is very inexpensive it is to rent a summer home (dacha) by the day or week. It is so nice to go to a beach without all the commercialism that you find at Odessa's beaches.

As a smooth transition from the previous video to this one, there will be my gastronomic suspicion, which is that once again looking at those not the most dangerous jellyfish, I seem I'm beginning to understand who we drew inspiration from when creating such a specific dish as kholodets with horseradish/mustard, You know 😅

How long did it take a prairie girl from Saskatchewan to refer to a community with 7,000 people as a small town? When we refer to a place with more than 1000 people as a big town. Nice quiet local compared to Odesa. Green was working for you. Enjoyed the relaxed beach community.
haha that is very true. This place is huge compared to my 800 person town of Kinistino!
Sask. has a low threshold for cities just 5k. Compared to Ontario, it took the town of Markham to become a city at 300k which is the size of Saskatoon.

I would always see those blobs on the beach in California. Didn't realize they were jellyfish. I used to poke them to see what they were; surprisingly firm. Never have got stung either. So amazed by the prices of homes in Ukraine and other areas of former USSR.

You capture the 'base essence of the real local environs' very well. Great job. I have been to Ukraine 🇺🇦 twice previously. First I went to Lviv and the second time I went to Kiev. I would love to see Odessa first hand. This video really inspires me to look for flights to Ukraine 🇺🇦 Hope you have a great day

Nice video Alina. 20K is very cheap but I think as an investment Kiev is a better bet in the Ukraine in particular because of the very high yields and capital growth potential.
Yes, as an investment Kyiv would most likely be much better. But if you just wanted to live somewhere by the beach long term or a summer home, this would be far less capital.
