- Many songs from the Tamil Films have been ignored periodically for reasons best known to no one. Especially, never or rarely attempted in any reality shows, stage shows or competitions.
When the nation is on a Quarantine, Subhasree Thanikachalam launches this new series.
This series will feature a set of rare songs that are rarely heard, rarely performed and she will also try and give some trivia for the songs.
The songs will all be performed by young singers who came out of her shows, which mainly focussed on old songs. The sessions are unplugged and performed with minimum instrumentation. No retakes. One stretch live performance..

Excellent song dripping with the sweet singing of Suseelamma, the wonderful tune from MSV and the aptly flowing lyrics of Vaali acha.....Bhavya sang well but felt was just short of the higher notes. Venkat, Jeyanth and Anjana combined well. After the line Palli Varmpothu...there will be a pause with just 4 steps of salangai sound, which was beautifully done Shyam but felt tabla had a bit more volume and seemed to push back the flute and veenai. Excellent playing by Venkat, Jeyanth & all the best to Anjana. Subhasree mam yes it was indeed a panchamritham of a song...classical always stands the test of time...thanks
Overall a very nice rendition. Kudos subhasree. All episode all simply great.

the brika sangati at THOZHI... is a Susheelama trademark which her guru, prof Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu used to play on his incomparable violin, i think MSV was inspired by the record of Prof Dwaram,in which he played a folk song in Bheempalas.
