The Bad tour was something like 16 months long with several month long breaks during the tour but I would think he was totally worn out by the end of that tour. I believe I read that after the Bad tour he wanted to do some acting. He was born to sing/entertain. I saw the clip you are talking about where he said he loved to tour. Everyone broke out laughing when he said that. I feel certain he was told to say that.

I read a story in Rolling Stone Magazine about Michael’s perfectionism during the Bad World Tour. One day in rehearsals, he heard a wrong note. Michael said, “Let’s go from the top.” Everyone thought he meant the top of the song. He meant the top of the show!

Michael became a billionaire at 29 years old. He owned a catalog that was sold for 2 billions dollars. Therefore, he wasn't broke! All he had to do was sell his catalog but he chose to go on tour.

Bad era was the best era, as for his physical and mental health condition. I really really wish I could be there. Even not being able to go to the concerts, just staying outside of the hotel during the nights would be enough. I don’t have the luck.

I absolutely LOVE watching Michael practise and prep behind the scenes for things - I realise that this was where he was at his purest, most instinctual - ready and prepared, but still trying so hard to be a perfectionist and deliver the best show he could. His love for us (the fans) was insane and he's the perfect example of 'action over words' - his life's efforts are clearly there for all to see, just watch him.....that's a human being, blessed by God, utterly in his element. The number 1 entertainer of all time....it's not even close.

In one book, I've read that he was in an airplane and someone got seriously sick. He gave up his better seat for that person, stayed with him, after landing he brought him home and stayed with the family until this person was better. One time I heard in an interview that Michael visited a rapper and he told him that there was a shooting close by at a school, Michael went into the hospital visited the people who survived, payed all medical bills and attended the funerals and paid all costs for the funerals. The rapper said he never saw such a level of compassion in his whole life. In the book of his bodyguards I read that he really really loved all his fans, and while they were driving he always read all the letters he got from his fans. The bodyguard wrote that he seemed to be so happy when he read some of the letters of his fans. I agree with you Sam, he was such a great human being, with a great heart and soul.

MJ’s the greatest entertainer of all time. The the other artists that came after him are also great but he was just on another level. His charisma, stage presence, the way he danced, smooth, clean, and sexy vocals, etc. He paved the way, broke barriers, and changed the landscape of music and entertainment. I also love how he wasn’t entitled and a diva. I mean other musicians, no matter how good, have an attitude. He loved his fans and he didn’t badmouth the media or the paps despite what they did to him. He’s one in a million.

He meant stop touring forever bec he didn't like certain aspects of touring and he wanted to get into acting but im not sure about that last part. But obviously he changed his mind bec he did the dangerous en history tour. But all dangerous tour profits went to charity so maybe that's why he kept touring.
