Sometimes I imagine how groundbreaking the This is it concerts would have been, but then I realised that it would have been torture on Michael. He was not the energetic young man he once was and his body was always in pain. He also had sleeping problems, even in his prime, because his adrenaline would be racing so much after concerts that he wouldn't be able to go to sleep. How much worse would it be at 50, when he needed it the most? At least he's at peace now, far away from physical pain from his injuries and the emotional pain that the world gave him.
Imo in ThisIsIt he should have changed some routines, maybe even introducing some acoustic pieces to perform confortably on a chair...His performances are legendary but have the problem of being doable only until you're in your 20s, 30s...unfortunately he was very stubborn and never changed anything when it came to his job. He was afraid that the public wouldn't appreciate, but they would love him even if he sat for two hours straight doing nothing honestly. I'm also not sure that AEG would have let him do some changes
