It would be nice to show
& to include a before and after comparison video.
Please show the process from day one,
then follow up when the roots have developed.
Thank you for demonstrating
how to propagate roots from plant cutting.
Here is a good example of some before and after using the same technique.

Thank you for always taking the time to explain the whys and hows. I’ve been a vegetable gardener for 35 years but got my master gardener certification this year so I’m branching out to shrubs, plants, trees, etc. so these kind of videos are a big help. Bless you and happy gardening.👩🌾💚🪴
Thank you for the kind words. Happy gardening!
Great video, but would you know that I've had just as good or maybe better success rooting cuttings by just sticking them in an already potted plant and essentially leaving them alone as compared to meticulously and painstakingly choosing appropriate soils, using hormone powder, misting them daily, under domes, etc etc etc?...Go figure, right? Not contradicting this method just an anecdotal observation.
Good morning, excellent upload and very interesting information:)
I've propagated many plants and didn't use any powders or hormones and they grew fine. If you have good soil you don't need the rooting hormones in my opinion. I believe the powders are just a way to get you to spend more money.
A lot depends on species of plant and timing. Peer review consensus would be there is a significant difference (p=0.05) when using IBA or IAA.
Do you add water during the period or monitor the bottom for a thin layer of water?
As long as there is condensation on the top you are good. We are looking for 100% humidity.
What are your thoughts on CLONEX?
I like it. The gel ensures the hormone sticks to the cutting.
