    I had a few issues that I had not seen on other yacht walk through. In the wheelhouse a door was blocked by what appeared to be a washer or dryer. I the bridge? Then I saw the cheap white dresser in the engineering spaces for “storage” and I thought this is a no go.

    • @YachtMarineBrokerage
      @YachtMarineBrokerage  Před 5 lety

      In door dinning can be served in the saloon on the extended table. In the summer Mediterranean weather most dinners (lunch and breakfast..) are served at the flybridge or aft deck. How ever, if one prefer a proper in door dinning table it can be easily fit in.

    Always worth looking at a one-off because its not stuffed full of the things manufacturers fit to bump up the profit. In this case it worth asking why there is no radar. Its a cheap enough device, after all. Its on EVERY mass produced yacht of this size. But is that because every boat owner needs it or because once in a while one or two people use it? And the rest have it switched on at all times of the day or night despite having 20miles visibility and strong sunshine. The truth is that hardly ever is it used and never, these days for location since chart plotters do that job. And AES locates every ship in the area. So its worth ditching radar, or at least thinking about its usefulness for your boating.
    I'm always perplexed by the number of televisions on boats. So, do people get up in the morning and watch TV instead of going for a swim or down to the market for fresh food? Bizarre. Cheap enough, but aren't they really there just to allow the salesmen to point them out? And, bear in mind that you need, for a boat, a decent satellite receiver with motorised and stabilised dish. That alone can add £10,000 easily.
    Space is another thing we see on this boat. It could be that its been built for an American client, and they tend to have larger spaces in their homes than we do in Europe. It could be that when the family descends on them, they need to spread out. The greatest luxury on a boat is space, not the bizarre fabrics and veneers that are plastered everywhere on many boats. They are often over-decorated and under-designed. There is good sense in this layout, have lots of empty floor space for parties and family trips, and pull out some loose deck furniture when you have the place to yourself. Besides, buying top quality loose furniture is miles cheaper than getting ho-hum built-in stuff from the boatyard, and come the time, its easier to replace with fresh.
    That bath in the window of the principal cabin is genius, what a view! But it would never find its way onto a production boat because many are sold at a crowded boat show with people looking in the window. It might be too much of a leap of imagination to picture the same thing in use at a remote anchorage. Bliss.
    As for the looks, nothing comes close to a San Lorenzo, so all else is struggling for my attention, and this one has some awkward shapes.

    Handsome boat but if I were in the market for a large yacht I would go for a trawler style that can cruise the world. Boats like this have too much power and suck up too much fuel. Even cruising at 9kts you would be stopping to fill her up every 600nm or so. I don’t understand why people are so negative about the interior. The purple isn’t that bad and recovering the cushions wouldn’t be that expensive. I’m sure this lovely cruiser will sell quickly,well once we get over this virus that’s going around the planet. Rich people will still have their money to spend.
