- Keira Knightley is one of the most famous British actresses, who featured in dozens of successful TV projects and won a number of awards and trophies.
A future movie star was welcomed in 1985 in a family that was closely connected with the filmmaking industry. That’s why Keira knew she wanted to pursue acting career since the age of just 3.
She debuted on a big screen in 1993 in a movie called Innocent Lies. Her talent was immediately noticed by many producers and hence, she was piled up with multiple offers. The actress then appeared in such well-known and popular films as Anna Karenina, Pride & Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean and many others.
And now, it is high time to discover more about the celebrity’s closest people, as she is not only a film performer but also a loving wife and a mother of two kids.
The father’s name is Will and he is also a part of the moviemaking world, being an actor. In addition to that, he is also a founder of the Half Moon Theatre that is based in London. He has been happily married to the love of his life Sharman and shares two children with her.
The mother Sharman is a playwright. It would be interesting to know that it was she who inspired Keira to be an actress. She also awoke daughter’s love to ballet and theatre.
The gifted actress has only one sibling, an older brother Caleb, who was delivered in 1979. He is a recognized composer and sound designer. As for his personal life, he is married to Carrie Nixon.
Speaking of Knightley’s relationship status, she had been dating an actor Del Synnott since 2001 till 2003 and then Jamie Dornan since 2003 up till 2005.
After that she had been in a long-term union with an actor Rupert Friend. They met on the set of a movie in 2005 and started dating within a blink of an eye. However, five years later they decided to walk separate ways.
In 2013 a stunning actress walked down the aisle with a musician James Righton. The two love birds began dating in 2011 and two years later James proposed. The couple is now parents to two cute kids.
Keira’s firstborn is a daughter Edie, who was born in 2015. The girl is very much loved but according to the movie star, being a mother is quite a difficult task and she is glad she can afford good childcare.
In autumn of 2019 the family welcomed a daughter Delilah. She is now just a few months old, so there is nothing much to say about her as yet.
