Also keep in mind that some of these are from years ago & she says that she doesn't really watch the movies more than only at the premiere, so it's natural to forget about them. You can't remember everything you had to memorize in school either.

17 when movie came out. they probably shoot first Pirate of Caribbean when she only 15-16.
I recently rewatched it and i was uncomfortable at how much they sexualised her. Especially that scene were made her take off her clothes, and someone was looking up her skirt like WTF was that necessary

Trust me, there's MUCH worse. Brook Shields was 12 in her famous Calvin Klein ads where she famously claims, "Nothing comes between me and my Calvins" implying that she's not wearing any underwear. At least at 17, she's of the age of consent.
I think she is talented and stunning but I'm also taken slightly aback by the fact that there used to be and still often are these huge age gaps between actors playing married couples or lovers. For decades, we have been conditioned to look at very young girls in romantic parts where they have been matched with older men 10-20-30 years or more their seniors but onscreen their characters are supposedly "of an age" - and as a consequence we often find onscreen images of young women in their 30s to look "old" or "tired" instead of simply looking their age. It's awful.

I was just thinking exactly that! Take Love Actually for example, she was only 17 during filming and the male protagonist (the grooms best friend who was in love with her) was 29... and she got married in the film.. it’s bizarre if you think about it?!
I know! Bend it like Beckham was fine because she actually plays a 16 year old - however Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as her coach is 8 years older than her and so was Orlando Bloom in PoC and they’re displayed as having grown up together and being the same age.
This should be half an hour and cover way more films!

Princess of Thieves was my first Keira Knightley movie. She got to be Gwen, Robin Hood's daughter and it's still one my faves from her work.

She always comes across as just a massive laugh and a good sport. She's fab.
If you've listened to the DVD commentary of Pirates of the Caribbean as many times as I have, you would know that she "fell" off the castle in a sound stage. The wide shot was CGI and then under water was in a tank. So technically yes she did that stunt herself, but it wasn't really a stunt.
