- Join me as I head to Paultons Park for my first visit of the 2022 season! In this vlog I share on ride POV's from all 7 roller coasters at the park including Farmyard Flyer, a new junior coaster located in Tornado Springs! I also experience all of the other fantastic rides on offer at the park along with sharing footage from inside Tornado Springs, Lost Kingdom and Peppa Pig World!

Unfortunately due to issues with my camera settings, parts of this vlog are lower quality than usual. The good news is that all of the on ride POV’s came out just as great as always! The issue has now been resolved for future videos!

Farmyard flyer is the perfect addition they needed, this is the best way to get younger children on their first coaster.

Storm Chaser in the back row with a full train is absolutely amazing. Just sneaks into my top 10 UK coasters.

My grandson met Shawn at paultons on Tuesday. He was lovely and was great with him. Agreeing to do a picture as well. Lovely fella 👍 😊

Just got back from my first visit here which i had planned after watching your vlog last year. Spent 2 days in the park with my 5 year old daughter. We both really enjoyed it, shes 100% gonna be my roller coaster partner as she gets older. She was not interested in pepper pig world just wanted to go on the coasters!! This park is a great way to get younger kids into coasters. Thank you for showing me this park as it was never on my radar untill i saw your vlog of tornado springs last year. Will 100% be back there. Great thing is the ques were so small you literally waiting 3-4 mins at the most for everything. Couple times we was allowed to stay on for another go as no1 was queing. I expect in august it gets pretty busy but weekday in june in school time was perfect. LEt your kids bunk off for a day or 2 and take them!! Tornado Springs is brilliant!!

Went here with my family this year, absolutely loved this theme park - it sets standards that all others should aspire to! Def be back in the future.

Shawn love what you do! Been watching for about 6 years and feel that your video quality and editing are top-notch. I'm not sure what's going on but there is a really strange blur almost like you're seeing double on the video this time. Haven't seen that happen before. Seems okay when you are actually showing on ride footage though. Just thought I would mention it. Thanks for doing such a great job!
I was just about to say the same. The ride footage is on a GoPro. So it's the vlogging camera. Might be on a different frame setting. It happens. It's not until you get back and see the footage you realise.
Unfortunately I had the camera on the wrong setting during this day. This has been resolved for future videos!

Did I hear that right? 42 rides! Given it was open between 10am to 5pm that means you were doing one ride every 10 minutes. That is very impressive, well done and it looks like you had a great day. This has inspired me to travel down to Paultons Park now.

Out of all the holidays/parks etc I did when I was young I remember paultons park the most so many memories so it’s clear all the effort they put it and extra details gives life long memories

I really think this park is the cleanest and most up together park in the uk, Alton towers and Chessington ect.. could really learn a thing or two from them.

I remember going when I was 7 I remember the edge the big spinner thing, and some cobra roller coaster and lots of bees round the bins
That back area really needs an update and a re theme.. it’s like “where shall we stick the random kids and adult rides that don’t have a theme” They have all that land not being used??
Hopefully they’ll look into that next!
Lost Kingdom could be extended up to Magma with the go carts being themed to a jungle race attraction.
that would be awesome, if they renovate/replace the edge and cobra, retheme magma and the go carts, maybe add another ride or 2 in there, could be amazing, that area of the park definitely needs saving
I think Magma could be kept as it is with it already having a dinosaur theme. The Go Carts could be upgraded with more carts and no extra cost to go on them. Obviously an extended queue would be needed for those. The theme could be a chase with dinosaurs or something like that.
The edge and cobra could form a new themed area on the field area of the park. The gap between magma and cobra is quite small but if they theme the back wall of the cobra station as a rocky beige wall it could act as a entrance portal to lost kingdom and all fit together nicely.

Take out the Go-Karts and install a Hafema wild raft ride, (rapids), themed to Lost Kingdom in its place. This would link the area with Magma. Also incorporate and theme the area around the Dragon roundabout ride.
Yeeeesss I just suggested a similar thing (but RMC Raptor) but a Rapids ride is very high on my list for this place. Inverting coaster, permanent log flume, Rapids, Dark ride and (Edge area) retheme are the things I'd like to see.

This is another park in the UK that is on my bucket list
I cannot wait to see the future of this park. In fact I'd love to see an RMC Raptor here, I think it would be the perfect next thrill step for them.
If we're talking dream world, I'd be tempted to really lean into the name and expand Lost Kingdom over the Go Karts plot of land, large Volcano centre piece (or even largely enclose Magma) and have the Raptor interact with that. Dark Purple supports, Dark Green track and call it Velociraptor's Revenge.

I love that idea! Was very sceptical as I figured a Raptor would be way too intense, but Wonder Woman and Stunt Pilot both have a 1.2m height restriction so it's definitely not out of the question! Plus it would bring more thrill seekers in.
A vekoma space warp like formula at energylandia would be great and a vekoma mad house in the area of the go karts and dragon ride
Would love to see a new gen Vekoma launch coaster and a small gravity group woodie as a couple of family-thrill rides which would fit their line up perfectly imo
It’s a hoot hoot at Paultons Park, if you know that advert or saying you a true original for the park
Edit: I remember Cobra opening as my uncle worked at the park at the time and he got me and my mum tickets for the day, I remember being able to see the log flume from the ride

The caterpillar for me as a kid 28 years ago was a dragon coaster and wind in the willows behind the petrol bumper boats also the go kart track was triple the size it is now

Went to the park yesterday, really enjoyed Cobra and the leg dangling one (Can't spell that dino)
The log flume is fine as it is. The large green space next to Cobra had a live show several years ago with Justin Fletcher.
It was SO hot, I ended up in the medical area (on show street) with heatstroke. so it would be advisable if they are having more live shows.....especially for young children.....if they had a permanent canopy / roof area for the audience to shelter from the heat!!! Between shows the log flume was perfect for cooling down.

Great blog Sean always - Paultons park has really transformed itself into becoming a family and adult theme park; great it's family own. Not keen on the upsale / extra prices charged in theme parks - Go karts. Paultons do need more thrill ground rides and a water park of new Log ride, rapids, etc. Still like my fairgrounds and theme parks to have a good scare ride - Ghost train / haunted mansion.

I never new that there is a ride in Lost Kingdom called The Dinosaur Tour Co. I've never seen t and i've been to Paultons Park quite a few times, atleast now I have a new ride to go on! 😂

I don’t think I’ve ever been to Paulton’s, It’s such an amazing common Theme park with all of It’s heavy themed facade the beautiful picturesk laeks wildlife heritage, the rides look great fun wouldn’t be surprised If the park invested in more bigger thrill rides, its a shame that the prices have increased for the passholders but in a nut Shell this was an interesting vlog i didnt really notice the technical problems with your Camera Shawn you got so many awesome povs on ride footage even throughout the park as well Thank you for letting us know good to hear your Camera issues have been sorted out.

Ahhh god do I miss paultons! We used to go every year before my daughter had to shield, can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can take her again, they’re amazing to guests with disabilities :)

i went yesterday on thursday and it was all shut for the whole day and i only got on some peppa pig rides due to wind 😂
My daughter Gemma Mills said the newbuild is going to be a 34 bed hotel - she's right.

My idea for magma and the surrounding area would be to turn it into an ocean themed area. You could retheme magma to be an underwater volcano that shoots out a huge water geyser, the go karts could be replaced with a heavily themed river rapids, or a boat ride experience. There's also quite a large empty green space behind magma that they could do something with as well.

I went on the drangon I was so surprised with it and then it went backwards lol and would agree second favourite flat ride in the park because you can’t compete with Cyclonator
School ends Friday down here in most of Dorset and Hampshire so at least you got here before the park got packed hee hee.
The fact that I just watched vacation 2015 and it had a rollercoaster called the velociraptor and this velociraptor opened in 2016

Best park in the UK in my opinion.
Did you change the FPS on your camera when walking around? Lots of blur and judder when you panned or filming motion, gave me motion sickness 😆 colours seem to be a bit off too. Onride footage was your usual brilliant quality 👍😊
I was wondering about the footage, hope the camera wasn't damaged from the Icelandic waterfalls but I'm sure he'll sort it soon.

Went there recently when i went on holiday to dorset and i loved it! My favourite coaster there is either storm chaser or cobra. Going to adventure island tomorrow!

I really think paultons should make the area of cobra, magma and the edge a western/mining theme (similar to Mexicana at chessington). You wouldn't have to retheme cobra's cars and could keep the shed and give it a theme similar to rattlesnake at chessington. For magma not much changes would be needed, only to take out the dinosaur theming and replace it with mining theming and change the name to "dynamite" or something similar. Then the edge could get a retheme to fit with the area. Possibly a new flat or coaster as well also themed, maybe something a bit more thrilling then the rest of the rides in the area, possibly for it to go upside-down so paultons to market to a wider audience. Maybe a small vekoma launch coaster similar to formula or even a zamperla nebulaz would also be a great fit

I'd never even heard of Paultons, but this really looks like my kind of park. Heavy on the theming (and maintenance) and not too heavy on the thrills. Perfect for the family (two kids 8 and 10).

The station brakes before the second lap of Farmyard Flyer seemed a little jarring. Compare that to the Cat-O-Pillar which has a much more natural looking station pass through. Hopefully they can tune that out on FF so it feels like more of a longer ride. Thanks for the vlog!

Im going to Paultons tomorow my daughter loves it there and only half hour drive away so we go at least once a year sometimes twice. The park gets better and better everytime we go and unlike some places we have been to the food is pretty good too.

For most of us in the area the holidays start next week (last day friday)! I would definitely bet that it be extremely busy on Saturday though!
Great to see Paultons again, we were there a couple of weeks ago on a Monday and it was very easy to get plenty of rides in, Windmill Tower was also on 1 Tower only for us but a different Tower, it does look better with both. We had the brilliant Graham on the train, and if you had him too you would have known that those are not baby geese they are baby Velociraptors.... perhaps the only thing that could be improved is merchandise, as an adult there is very little to appeal even in the Tornado Springs zone, the main shop is heavily into toys rather than merchandise. It’d be cool if they added Daddy Pig’s rollercoaster to the park as it’s the only ride in Florida that’s not in the UK but I understand if they don’t want to because of all the pre-existing coasters
It would be indeed however the park already has a great selection of junior and family coasters now!
I know this is an oldish video of yours but I grew up going to paultons - I decided watch and see what it's like now and it's *so* different. There was little to no theming, the little baby coaster used to have a frog with a tophat on the front car instead of the dino it has now. (Rip frog, I'll miss you) I didn't hear it mentioned in the video but there used to be a boardwalk through the trees, with models of dinosaurs and dinosaur roars being played. The speakers were very obvious even to a small child like me, so it's cool they kept the dino theme going in a more immersive way! The dragon flat ride was my favourite and mums least favourite ride at the whole park, I loved how fast it went and how much it pinned you to the side of the car (which is probably why she didn't like it)! After that was Stinger, (now catopillar) - theming was a cool green/yellow spiky bug thing... and some bushes. I like the Alice in Wonderland vibes it now has! Maybe I should visit all the new stuff before I go back to uni - and maybe go on the rides I was too scared too when I was small!
