I think you should be able to film on any rollercoaster in the world you want!!! Specially in the USA, parks are acting weird!
Hey Shawn. It is now 10 years of me following your channel and it is great to see that you have become the number one choice in Theme Park Vlogs. Well deserved with so many trips around the world.
When I look back, many things have changed on the channel and I know why and how things went. But what I sincerely miss are your trips with other friends. It was always nice to see different opinions on rides and a lot of first time visits for some people.
Still. Your channel is on the rising path and maybe more changes will come that make it more exciting. I am looking forward to another 10 years of TPW.

I really miss the Vlogs with their friends. I understand things are different now, but surely that doesn't mean we can't have appearances from people like Martin or Mr. Lee Wood from time to time. and Brett in Florida!

The Toutatis POV at the end was great. Felt a bit more "real", with Shawn not worrying as much about commentary or the GoPro's placement and just enjoying the ride with his arms in the air. I'd like to see more like that on the channel!

What I do when I have to take my bag on a ride: I put my legs through the holes where your arms should be, this means that your bag is safe and you are still able to raise your hands. That's my hint ;)
I’ve done this before and it does work nicely!

It’s such a great park!
I went there as a holiday for Easter for 2 days during 10th to the 12th staying in a hotel. First time being at the park. Enjoyed all the rides I went on. Also, I did my first inversions on the Osiris coaster and I loved it so much, first of all I got nervous for my first inversions but decided to try at least some and see if I love them or not. Now I love loops as they give more sensation. I also got my photo as a memory of my first inversions

Never been on oziris but I absolutely love it to bits no less! Fantastic themed area and just like you said it just feels like it just keeps on going! Very well paced and designed excellently
In a way I understand the bags on. They know you will hold on to them for dear life and therefore cut the cost and waiting times 🤣. We're just safety mental in UK.
The bag policies of Parc Astérix remind me of Efteling. When i were there back in october 2021 i had to take my back with me on Python, which I thought was crazy 😆

I just watched this vlog because I was at Alton Towers and I also saw you guys there witch was amazing. I’m also sorry if I bothered you guys a bit, I just really wanted to see you too. That “For what we are about to endure…” made me lol. I last went to Parc Asterix in 1990 and Goudurix really was a big deal back then, but it was rough as hell from the very beginning. I was too young to ride - I was only six, but my uncle was literally black and blue afterwards. Having to take your bag on that thing is absolute insanity.

I absolutely loved our trip here testae to ride Toutatis.. Never would have visited if it wasn't for your videos. No wonder the parks offer you complimentary admissions. Having said that, got to disagree with you... Loved that woodie 🧡💛💚💙💜

Tonnerre 2 Zeus is soooo much better now in my opinion! And the backwards seat is light years better than any other row. Blows my mind how different opinions can be!

Massive respect to Charlotte for going on Goudrix again; I agree with her the padded headrests are a sticking plaster on a painful experience - but definitely intense with great views!

You'll have to get back to have some more rides on Toutatis, you seemed a bit underwhelmed by it on opening day. We had four rides on it four days ago and it was phenomenal, pushes RTH for our number one coaster. The pacing late in the afternoon on a hot day was relentless and air time superb. Know your not keen on spikes and the trim brake brake on the top hat, but it may not have been running as well on opening day. Love your vlogs by the way.

I went there about a week ago now when I was in France on holiday and the first ride I went on was the gouduriiiix one of the best rides I've been on
We went on Toutatis in May half-term and it was absolutely brilliant! It rivalled Ride to Happiness as my number 1.

The bag policies do seem really inconsistent!! Having to take a bag on something like Goudurix is madness, felt really unsafe. The opposite is true on Toutatis where the 'no loose items' rule is bordering on draconian; my friend was forced to remove his glasses even though he always wears a bungee and hasn't lost them on 100s of other coasters!
Definitely make Charlotte sit in the front on a log flume next time 😂

Nice park, have seen the past vlog from last year, really enjoyed, got a good selection of rides, attractions and coasters here, would love to visit soon if possible? Lot of mixed coasters and attractions here, not so far from Disneyland Resort Paris. Which you I think can get a train & coach / bus to? Or car straight direct to? Not sure exactly, but nice exciting park. Would like to experience log flume as that looks epic especially with airtime hill. Love look of Pegasus coaster, yeah think like something like that in the UK. Maybe either Chessington WOA, Alton Towers Resort or either Dreamland Margate? But then again, think Suspended coaster at Dreamland would be more epic in my opinion, but maybe either for that the other two parks? Toutatis looks epic, really fast and looks like a lot of fun lol. Maybe one day brave & experience it? But well see? But nice vlog, really enjoyed and always look forward to next vlog. Cheers again. 😀👍

I want to see a rapids ride which has a tunnel like this one, with a waterfall that turns off just as you get there…but which then dumps a load of water on the boat a second or so later, just to mess with people that ‘know what’s going to happen’. :-)

Was it just me, or were the two lads in front of you, on your last ride on Toutatis, being a bit too unsafe. This is why restraints get pushed down 🙃🙃🙃

I love 💕 your’s and Charlotte’s reactions funny innuendos on the water rides looks really fun 🤩, The entire onride POVs we’re amazing including rollercoasters sounds like fun especially Toutatis has got some awesome elements on there great vlog as always, oh Shawn what was that full body pounding intense wooden coaster ride you went on with Brett in America that you said was a headache in itself? What would you say is the worst out of usa wooden coaster and parc asterisk wooden coaster?

Who decided what warranted a roller coaster 'Riding well'? Surely part of the charm for non enthusiasts on shaky coasters is that if it is jolting and shaking it adds to the psychological fear factor that the ride could break at any moment.
For example, I love Grand National at Blackpool because it throws you about. I just find it weird that enthusiasts have this objective standard on a very subjective experience.
Please let us know your thoughts. I love the channel and watch every video to the point where I consider myself an enthusiasts but always wanted to ask this question!

Well, it's about how far that jolting and shaking about detracts from the ride experience, I think... Grand National is a great example, it CAN be a fun ride, but imagine how much MORE fun that layout would be if you didn't get flung forward into the lap bar at the bottom of every drop? Like it literally feels like the car has hit something on the track in the middle of the double down...
In my experience enthusiasts are quite forgiving of some shake and roughness on a wooden coaster, because that's how they are supposed to feel, but when it gets to the point where you just can't really ride the coaster more than a couple of times in a day without feeling like you've fallen down a flight of stairs, that's an issue.
If it's too shaky it feels like your brain is being rattled in your head and you come off with a headache! Or it whips you side to side so much you end up with bruises, again that's not much fun! Hence the experienced rider wanting the smoother experience

do you keep your glasses on for all the roller coasters? my daughter and i are headed there in may and she was wondering if she can wear her glasses or would need to take them off.
I usually keep them on however also use a glasses strap!

Just left after watching a fireworks display. loved toutais and even got to ride it in the dark.

The queues seem so quiet. When was this? Yesterday all major attractions were at least a 1 hour wait.

I don't know how you guys do it, half a day at Alton Towers knocks me for 6 and I feel rough for the next couple of days! I love coasters but I get terrible motion sickness.
