Living vicariously through your videos. Bucket list. Sadly, can't really do it because I'd have to figure out my stops very carefully. Some of those towns are not really "welcoming" to hikers like me but your videos help give me that experience. Thank you!

WOW Water everywhere! You're killing it man! Awesome job Betty White! Hiking that trail seems to be definitely mentally exhausting! Keep up the great work! We're all rooting for you! Hiking this trail through you! Hike on!👍👍

    Can't say I would blame
You for throwing in the towel but I'm glad you've decided to press in north. Praying for dryer walks ahead.

Man! Better you than me! I don’t think I could take all that water on my feet! Keep heading North!

I followed your AT hike and I was glad to see you back. I spent a couple day’s catching up on these first two weeks and wow -- what a slog at times. I chuckled some at your view of the suffer-fest. I read Nimble-Will’s book that included this hike and honestly I thought he was embellishing how miserable it was until I saw your video. Keep heading north!

Thought of you today as it was pouring rain here in Crestview. Be safe, my friend.

That looked like a Bass. Easy Meal. All the thru Hikers of the Fla trail during this El Nino winter are the top of the crop. If it ain't raining we ain't training. I always say. Keep them spirits up! Your doing Great!

Good to "see" you, so sorry for all the water on the trail. The opening with your feet sloshing, my heart sank for you. Take care- Pineapple (met you in Caratunk in Maine, brought your tramily pizza)

Hiking the Florida Trail from the South to the North expect to have wet feet when you start. The trail , for better words , starts to dry out east of Orlando except for Tosohatchee WMA might be wet but the campsites are usually dry. For the most part the Ocala National Forest ( sand sand pine & scrub area's , Bear territory ) are dry and really nice. Picture perfect along the Suwanee River up north. Disclaimer.... Here in Florida if you don't like the weather , it normally will change in an hour. Usually refereed to as Roller Coaster weather , up and down.

Foxes scream when they are mating. We hear them here in the UK often at this time of year/spring. I presume coyotes do the same?
Wait till you walk through a wood with barn owls, now that is spine tingling.

Wow! what an indorsement for Injinji socks! I can't believe that you don't have foot issues after all that wading. It looks like fun for a day hike maybe. If you like the flat terrain, maybe put some rail-trails on your to do list. Just a thought....

I was going to ask if you see anything in the water, but then the fish came into view. I was more concerned about snakes and gators. Hang in there, you are doing great. I can only imagine HOW much it sucks!!!

I cannot imagine slogging through water like that day after day. I've been in a cranberry bog knee-deep for the day maybe for two days and by the end of 2 days the front of my thighs would be killing me! I do feel bad and I know your pain but you're not a quitter!

You’re living the dream! It will be years before many of us will have the opportunity to thru hike. It’s the wettest I’ve ever seen down in south Florida but you’re doing fantastic. The land will get higher and dryer as you move North. (In spots) 😁

You’re having a tough slog for sure, and I am impressed by your tenacity! The trail will get better (Ocala is great - and hopefully dry!). Stay safe!

I have hike that area several times. Also been dry. Nothing like this. I feel bad that FT has so much water.

I had a similar experience at night during my AT thru hike while I was in central Virginia last Spring. A very loud screeching noise next to my tent. It was a bobcat.
Hiking, if you can call it that, through the water does not look like fun. You are more tolerant than I would be putting up with that.
