- We visit camping Benisol in Benidorm for two nights, but have we made a big mistake? its definitely more than we ever spend on a campsite, and the extra charges keep flowing in.

There is one great thing about Benidorm - the road out 😂😂😂 old town is lovely but they know how to charge on the camp sites there that’s for sure
To be fair we are quite enjoying Benidorm, it’s so much more than we anticipated, we hit the main town tomorrow, and have found a site at half the price of Benisol anusol 🤭🫣😂
We were on pitch 8 a couple of weeks ago and had NO sun at all. Indoor pool bit scruffy but beautiful and warm . They accept ACSI card and price per night about 21 a night. . Got stung last year with electric .Four nights about 85 euro.. We downloaded the app and monitored our 3 euro a day allowance and made sure we didn't go over . Not all campsites in winter accept ACSI cards but worth getting .
Hi Lorraine ❤️ yes we asked about ACSI which we have and they said not valid at the moment, we didn’t venture into the pool, but for sure the one side suffers for sun, but as we mentioned nice in the summer … and that bill was a shocker ! 😬
€67 for 2 nights is £28.50 a night. That really isn't too bad compared to UK prices. Do they take ACSI? You can't really complain about not getting sun. It's January in Spain it could have been cloudy or raining. Benidorm isn't for us either, that's why we drove straight past but the campsite actually looks quite nice.

No, sorry Corrine. Black pudding does not = Sausage. Sausage = 4 points. Bacon = 3 points. Hash brown = 2 points, beans = 1 point, tomatoes = 0/1 point. Therefore i hash brown +tomatoe = 2 to 3 points. You skanked Redders out of 1 to 2 points. With interest at 4.8%, you now owe him 2 sausages. Your welcome.

Great Maths lesson, enjoyed the video. Stayed at Benisol some years ago at the back by the Tennis courts, looks like the blocks have been updated and the restaurant is open also updated.

Great video guys! We hope you got some good memories there even if you never go back. We were out that way for Christmas and stayed at Camping El Torres, between Benidorm and Villajoyosa - probably cost around the same but fantastic site, great location, and good walks from the doorstep. Hope your next site is better 🐕

That's definitely not our kind of campsite but there again Benidorm is not our kind of town either. We spend lots of time in Spain because we live pretty close to it and we just love nature, unspoilt beaches, Spanish food. But I can understand people who prefer the big resorts as well, everyone to their own it would be boring if everyone wanted the same thing 😊

I think you will find in the summer when it’s 30-40 degrees pitch 10 will be very popular
I’m sure it will be, they actually put mesh covers over the pitches to afford shade in the summer , 👍🙂

Hi Paul, I’m sure it’s great in the summer , the site was very clean and orderly, but it was the only one available at the time , and in comparison to others quite expensive for what you get 🙂❤️
Guadalest is worth a visit -half an hour from Benidorm up in the mountains - stopped overnight in the village carpark (bottom one below castle) was about €6😊

Yes , we were relieved to have left camping Anusol, now somewhere else at half the price , so we can go down tapas alley , and sit at separate tables ! 😂 no more sausage theft 😂❤️
Can you please show the connection from the EHU bollard into your power bank and photos of what electric leads you use.

Hi Barrie , the ehu bollards are standard 3 pin mostly , so your standard ehu cable will be fine , we then plug the power bank into one of the vans mains sockets , this then is our power supply for the items that can trip the mains … fryer , coffee machine etc, it acts like a buffer in between when on hook up 👍🙂
Steady young Redders's , us old Redders's are teetering along the average age of 93 ( not quite) . Spain is being overwhelmed by Germans in 40 foot motor homes at the minute . We're surrounded by them . Next time you're in Benidorm try Villasol or el Raco , both nearer to town , (still full of old people and Germans) . And by the way i would never ague with a Mrs Redders logic , i would just let her take whatever she wants . Maybe thats because im married to Mrs Redders .Take care both , great vlog .

Redders when the missus demands your sausage there needs to be a bit of bartering involved. You gave it up abit to easy for my liking. So on the next full English protect your sausage and make sure your satisfied with the out come. 😂

Great flog we were on the site last year😢, I call these sites marmite sites as you either love them or hate them we were the latter, our neighbours from the Uk come every year for at least 6 weeks, every one to their own I suppose, it’ll be interesting to see what you make of Benidorm personally wild dogs wouldn’t get me back there😂😂😂

Thanks for a great review of the site and saving me a journey…… there is no easy way of saying this Corrine but your maths is wrong!! There are only two high value items on a breakfast plate, sausage and bacon which are at least double the value of the rest. I agree with you about the tinned tomatoes, which if anything should have negative points!! In conclusion, Redders was swindled…. Looking forward to Thursday review of 2nd Benidorm site as we’re making our way up there from the Estepona region, and also interested in the power bank. BW Lyndon.
Sausagegate remains inconclusive 😂 we have moved on to a better site which is half the price and twice as nice , so all is good ! The power banks seem to be popular, particularly at the discounted price and then the extra 5 percent on top using REDS as the code , we love ours , great bit of kit , safe travels and thanks for watching ❤️

Hi, it seems you've been a health kick ,😂 first Mrs Redders full English, which can be high in cholesterol, so having a dose of Benisol (Benicol ) cuts that down, no sun means you don't require suntan lotion ,(Hello Vera) 😂,you said it was quiet! ,maybe Vera wasn't there that day, plus you may get your blood pressure tested if you hang around longer ! We stayed on Benisol at Christmas, we think the same as you, it's not really for us, we didn't have much of a sun window either. On our way back up we stayed at Camping LA media Legua, which is a brand new site, we preferred it although it's still a long walk into Benidorm.
It’s quite an experience 😬 , lovely facilities , but not quite our cup of tea , we’ve relocated to another site at half the price and miles better ❤️🥰

We are on Raco. It’s walkable to the Levante beach side and good for walking the dogs up to the woods, obviously looking out for the caterpillars. We are here a while so it’s €23 a night for two adults and includes 2kw of elec and you settle for any extra used on way out. Water is on the pitch and drainage. It’s a popular site and a good mix of nationalities. Does have indoor pool and all usual facilites. There are a few trees and I think they give those pitches to short stay folk. In the summer I imagine we’d all be grateful for tree shade 😅
A few people have mentioned Raco, but we could only find space at Benisol ( now we know why 😂 ) we have since relocated and it’s half price and twice as nice 🥰 sounds like a lovely site and good price for sure 👌❤️

No, Redders was scammed from the loss of the sausage. It clearly was not a swop.
The tomato/s was given as they were not wanted. The hash brown also. Therefore, we believe that Mrs Redders knew what she was doing, and before Redders knew what was going on, the sausage was lost. This is a typical scam that often happens to the husbands, and he, like all of us, has to grin and bear it. Happy holidays.

We stayed there over Christmas, reviewed on Google Maps, down-market campsite charging upmarket prices was the intro to which they took umbrage. And they refused the ACSI card which made it even more annoying . . . .

We have been parked up in Arenal for two months , second row , right in the mix , lovely views , free every night , not a cent spent on park ups , lovely beach with friendly dogs , no probs from the police , bars restaurants very reasonable great quality , javea is gorgeous too , Denia is bob on , .. do not go south of Arenal , done it all and this is where to be , hate to tell you as we want it to ourselves lol ,, if you are self sufficient solar etc it’s totally spot on .

Just going back to breakfastgate, you said yourself nobody wants tinned tomatoes, so they can’t have a point rating. Thus Redder’s only got a two point hash brown for his three (or four) point sausage so ended up ripped off!
