I'm really enjoying this series. We are thinking of doing a cruise in 2024. One thing: I'd like to see more of the ornaments and other things, not just the food and wine.
Oh my , the first scene of a cobblestone street and building on left is where I was born and grew up. We lived upstairs right above the doors.

My Oma , Aunt, lived right across from the entrance of the Alte Bridge. I’m enjoying this because I was born and grew up in Heidelberg. This was during the war and after. Wasn’t a very good time.

Fest & Flauschig
We went to Heidelberg on a Tauck tour in September. We loved it too, also wished for some free time at the castle which we put in our feedback . Hope to get back to both Strasbourg & Heidelberg to see the Christmas markets.
Hope you had some Nurembergerwurst! When Nuremberg had the opportunity to rebuild, after WW11, they did it in Gothic and Baroque Style!
I've lived in Heidelberg for many many years now, off and on between 95 and 2004 and permanently ever since. Love this town. Wouldn't you know it, just your luck you came after we had some snow, which doesn't happen all that often anymore.
It was wonderful and we would love to come back someday!

You should go to Berlin it’s an amazing city you’d love it ! The potato pancakes are better with apple sauce , trust me it’s a favourite of mine , my mum used to make a mean puffa ( what they call them in north Germany )
I didn't remember going inside until I saw the largest wine barrel, then I knew we had been in there!
I love that have a latke/potato pancake because I was wondering if they have anything for Hanukkah but then I googled potato pancake and apparently it is a popular food to have in Eastern Europe
We had almost a whole day sailing past all the castles drinking mimosas in the morning! We started in Bonnie and went all the way to the Black Sea. I'd love to do Christmas Markets except for the weather! 😂

Hi guys, loving this series. I was wondering if they had alternative activities to the wine tasting. I know wine is incredibly popular now but some of us can't drink it. Do you know if they had a different activity to do instead?
For this particular tour, to my knowledge they did not, but you also don’t have to participate and you can always do your own thing if you’d like.
Heidelberg was not bombed during WW2.
