Thanks, Paul- just got one of these. Thank you for leaving your review up even though you are no longer actively doing this kind of work. It is appreciated, as are you and what you did for so many budding woodworkers. Thanks again, and I wish you well in your new pursuits.
Hey Paul - love your videos. You helped me a bunch in understanding the functions and uses of certain Festool products, which in turn has informed my purchasing decisions. Ok, let me help you a little bit. The word "linear" has three syllables, not two. It's lin-e-ar, not li-near.
Hi Paul, How suitable would this machine be for relatively corse sanding of end grain, for example the edges of doors or worktops with 40 or 60 grit paper?, I am thinking of applications where a belt sander would be too severe and not be capable of working in corners
Hey Paul , do you think this would be a good one for sanding corners with drywall? I'm thinking it would be perfect but I'd love your input . Thanks again , hope all is well
great video. i wish we could have seen it in action. i wanted to tell you i use gaff tape for things like that. its a cloth based duct tape that wont leave any residue behind and its strong. its a little expensive at 20 bucks a roll but it will last forever. if you buy it online it is about half of retail stores and it comes in 10 colors. painters tape like that has 7-21 day release time and then it acts like cheap masking tape. cheers
+Robb Slocombe Thanks! I didn't know about Gaffer's tape back then; now I have a monster roll of it and use it all the time when I need a quick release that's clean.
+HIGH GAIN Sorry for the holiday/new-job delayed response... The sander is a finish sander so it does fine sanding; if that's what you are looking for on the door frames, then it will work well (I say that since some installers I know use a belt sander to finesse fit, which this would never do). There's a "custom molding kit" available for it that lets you match the sanding pad to your molding. If you are sanding the molding around frames, this could be very useful as the profile will exactly match the molding. I've used this on base molding in my house when I did some remodeling.

Thanks for the info about the jitters! I have that problem with the 125 and did not know why. Dust collection speed down. Thank you!!
Another informative review, thanks Paul.

Nice review, are you still woodworking?
Great video. How does the Festool 567852 LS 130 EQ Linear Sander work on door frames??

@@HalfinchshyWWingHello, would you recommend this or the delta for trim work?
* Edit make that 60 or 80 grit paper!
