Love that you did this time lapse! Really, so many people on youtube think we want to sit through HOURS and HOURS of talking about each item... this was just the right amount of information vs action. You do have a ton of energy! Also, yes, we all forget how old we are sometimes! ;-)
Please don't ever change. So many youtubers get successful and I know this will happen for you I just don't want to watch another youtuber get caught up in the endless cycle of more and better. It is not relatable to many and you right now are a very relatable gift. All this to say keep going girl!
I totally agree with you, I relate myself and my son to you just the way you are. That's why I love your channel so much. You are very grounded and you do things on a budget. I am a single mom and I can't afford expensive stuff that's why I don't follow or watch moms that only do sponsored videos. Thank you Karie Lynn for your videos

Yeeessss this is such a good declutter! No disrespect to any CZcamsr, but my biggest pet peeve with cleaning videos is when people say “huge declutter!” and they get rid of 2 things! Awesome job :-)
Exactly. Or their video will say "deep clean", but all they do is regular cleaning.

I love that sweet moment you had with your son as you were cleaning up his room. Those are the moments that make being a mother totally worth it all!
Just a suggestion. Put only a few toys out. Rotate them every month. I did this with my son when he was little. He acted like he had new toys, lol less toys to deal with everyday. Great video!!
You said it- so much easier to tidy after decluttering. It's so crazy how things build up

I love how you made the kitchen look like you just moved in before cleaning the spaces and replacing necessary items. My kitchen is the bane of my existence right now and I needed this video to nudge me into action. Thank you so much!
Silence is golden sometimes! 😂 Maybe because I am the mother of boys who were always loud when they were little. I can laugh now that they are grown with families of their own. But I do enjoy just “quiet”. Glad to meet someone else who feels the same! But! Enjoy the noise they create because you blink and it’s gone... 🙃 Thanks for sharing! You GO girl!
Parents of kids remember..... clothing is a constant rotation. They grow out so fast. There's always a cycle of going through seasonal clothes, seeing what fits, who you can pass it on to, save for a younger sibling, etc. Never-ending job.

The minimal mom is GREAT! She's the one who taught me how to sort things out without making a mess. The mess gives me anxiety, which is why I was putting it all off! Now, I watch many of the speed cleaning & decluttering videos. I, like you, get something from everyone. I felt sorry for you for a minute there, but you did it!

I’m definitely working on downsizing our stuff. I’m not an organized person by nature but I also have a really hard time getting rid of stuff so it ends up piling in closets or on shelves and I hate it! Before having kids it was a lot easier to stay tidy. Once I became a stay at home mom I got overwhelmed really fast. Now I’m a mom to three small children and a full-time nursing student and I’ve spent my spring break getting rid of stuff to make it easier on myself once I go back to school next week. Your videos are super motivating and have helped me a ton!
Yes girl I watch so many cleaning videos!! I am subscribed to so many people. All these spring cleaning/decluttering videos have definitely been getting me motivated! I love your channel. Getting rid of stuff is so satisfying. I declutter at least 4-5 times a year. Its starting to get less because I have stopped bringing in so much stuff!
Tip for storing wrapping paper that's worked well for me: use a dress/garment bag. You can get them cheap at Wal-Mart and they're all stored in one place. I labelled mine and keep it down to one garment bag.
So true about making cleaning a peaceful time for oneself! That is often how it is for me when I have fewer distractions, little noise and can focus on what is right in front of me to be done. The goal stays much clearer in my mind as well!
I had already seen your other declutter videos that make up this one but there was something so satisfying about watching them all cut together like this 😆
I’ve been decluttering and it makes such a difference in keeping the flat tidy and clean 🧼

You rocked and got rid of tons and did lots of cleaning!!! I feel tired and yet energized after watching. Yes sometimes you need to pick up a bit before decluttering. My husband taught me when we were first married to make the bed first before cleaning the room.

I love watching the minimal mom as well. She was the one to inspire me to start my minimalist journey. I have gotten rid of so much stuff and dont regret it one second. Great Job as always on your home. It is gorgeous!!!!

Me too. Different people motivate me for different reasons. The hoarders heart motivates me to start with the easy stuff, and doing a little bit at a time is better than nothing, and minimal mum gives me good way of looking at my stuff.
Plus there’s a few others as well.

I like the Minimal Mom too. I went through my clothes and I got rid of a dresser. I use the canvas box method and I love it. A perfect time to declutter and deep clean
You're so right about watching multiple people for inspiration and tips. After de-cluttering recently, it felt good seeing GreenDrop pick everything up. Off it went to help families in need.

one thing i absolutely hated growing up was when my mom had her stuff in my closet. i found it so annoying. tho i had a very small closet
Totally feel this. As a teen I would have shirts that I didn't like and didn't wear cause they were her style not mine. But my mom wouldn't let me get rid of it and would pull it out of the out stuff because she liked it. I was like then you can have it. But she didn't have room for it in her closet so she'd make me keep it in mine. I got rid of so much when I finally moved out in my mid 20s. Partly cause I could just get rid of things I didn't like without her interference.
I'm sorry you had to share your space. It makes me feel glad that my mom encouraged the separation of spaces and self expression. Hers, mine, siblings, joint (which ment nobody left their stuff anywhere) and our play room.
I agree. I felt their sentimental stuff shouldnt be in there :/

Karrie, just as suggestion. For under the kitchen sink you might want to install pull out drawers. I had my brother-in-law make them for me and it makes it so much easier to access the items in the back. I also had him make one for the big bottom cabinet where I keep the appliances. I always had to pull everything out to access what was in the back. My plan for 2022 is to declutter especialy my bedroom closet. I have so many sweaters that I don't wear I just need to donate them. I will be shifting things around and getting rid of clothes as well. The garage is the BIGGEST project.

I noticed many families have their kids toys in their rooms, i believe the toys should stay in the living room, this way the children can rest better and have an understanding that room is for sleeping,on top of that is easy to clean their room.

One thing I have started doing about 3 years ago for decluttering my clothes is I declutter twice a year. If I didn’t wear it during that summer or winter, I get rid of it bc chances are I won’t wear it again. It has helped so much to keep my clothes AND shoes at bay. ESPECIALLY the shoes. My husband FINALLY has room in our closet for his shoes 😂

Beautiful décor. I've always been a minimalist. To a fault at times. I hate when I need something and remember that I gave it away 2 years ago because I never used it. LOL Yup that's the flip side of clutter. My walls are nearly bare because I don't like dusting. I'm constantly cleaning my junk drawers out and I rarely put anything in them. I was raised this way and I'm so thankful to my Mom who was also minimal and a extremely clean, almost to insanity house keeper.
