Installing a Keisler five-speed transmission engine combination into a '67-'70 Mustang or Cougar! - Jak na to + styl
Thanks Ali,
Well, we actually are not "doing" one car to completion, we are working on different parts of different cars as we find stories that are compelling. We'll be switching from the '67 here in a few weeks to do a floor pan on a '68 hardtop, then a front end alignment on a '69 Camaro. We try to give tips that will help everybody. Maybe one day we'll start putting links in car body style sections on the home page. say, that was a great idea Ali!
@flaconinja You are welcome Staff Sergeant Macedo. We're planning an episode on "cold starting" a stored '66 Mustang that is at a base workshop in the Carolinas; can't discuss it yet because we are still working out the details! Tell your buddies about us, we need the support.
hey thanks from SSG Macedo, really like the show and the shout out
love your show! currently watching EVERY past episode, you guys are great, thanks for all your help. By the way, us guys in the shop are turning your video into a drinking game! every time you say "quite frankly" we have to do a shot. lol
Hahaha, nice production. After a few minutes I forgot what this video was about.
@inasingtr Would it be horrible if i asked who DAVID FOSTER is? We're glad that you like the videos!
hi i have a 1970 cobra jet and i am about to fit engine and box tk 600 will i have to cut the chassis the same thanks
It is about a draw oddly enough. We've done it both ways. But this is actually how the factory installed them in the '60s and '70s.
really like this series but i would prefer you finish one car and then show us the other and not keep switching between the camaro and mustang.
Very good work thanks guys
@AutoRestoModWell! You could have the fun. Just do a search in youtube. I promise you it's an upgrade not a downgrade.....heheheheh...he's a very talented man like yourself.
@kneespliter LOL wow, I'm honored to by the new "Hi Bob" or "NORM"...wow I just REALLY dated myself huh?--Jeff
Cant help feeling that mounting the engine and the transmission separate would be easier and faster, even with the car on stands. especially when doing mock-ups and pre-fitting.
jeff r u related to DAVID FOSTER..???...Great vids BTW...NPD is great!!!!!
@brodiegbr Quite Frankly, we detect just a whiff of comedic sarcasm there, Quite Frankly...
Put the engine in with the bellhousing on and put the gearbox in from the bottom
On some applications that will be the preferred way to do things.
Why not raise the rear of the car higher and let the air out of the front tires to lower the front end?
Could. Usually the attack angle is more beneficial with the front end up.
hey can anybody help me or do you guys have a video for an aid swap I'm having some trouble with it would appreciate it if you guys make a video.
+Alex Martinez Alex, not real sure what you are needing. Contact Jeff at: jford@autorestomod.com
Hey buddy really enjoyed your video where could someone find clutch pedals for a 1970 Mustang?.I got a T5 5 speed out of a wrecked 5.0 I want to put in my 70 mustang.
You really just need the pedal arm. www.nationalpartsdepot.com/flipbook/Mustang-65-73-2017/?Mustang_1965_1973#p=192
