Good stuff! Got my 6kpro 2 months ago, added a bmpcc4k a month ago, both used and 40-50% off on eBay. I honestly shoot more with the rigged out 4k with a speed booster as I'm learning more handheld work, but as a live-streamer for concerts that has many canon cams and an Atem Iso, having these two paired with the switcher, the 6k rules for my uses! I'm still thinking about getting more 6kpro's, when the price is right on eBay, but I'm really excited to see what BlackMagic releases next before making the plunge

After nine months, I completely agree... except for the lenses. I've been using Rokinon prime cine lenses for personal work and rent the ones we use for production.

Yes even the original bmpcc is worth in the right hands.
What a fantastic review. Good work. What are your views on Panasonic S1H? Shoots 6K internally and BM Raw externally, industry leading image stabilisation, the best flippy screen, weather sealed metal built, good autofocus and great low light capabilities since it's a full frame mirrorless. Not to mention, it's Netflix approved.

this is what a REAL review looks like, awesome video man ! really enjoyed it, I've been interested on the P6k Pro for a while now but Haven't pulled the trigger yet, I've used the P4k before and its amazing, I weirdly loved its form factor but it isn't the most practical camera, I'm mainly a Lumix Shooter(GH6, G9) and love those cameras because they're "EVERYTHING" cameras I feel, awesome stabilization, great IQ, the DR on the GH6 is superb, etc. but there's something about those BlackMagic cameras that I love, I really hope BlackMagic releases a "Cube" form camera, that could be "the one".
Is it still worth it in 2024 or do you think there will be a 6K Pro G2 anytime soon?
How do you find the quality of the ND filters? Also, is 6 stops enough for your weddings - from a fellow wedding film maker
It’s been like 1 year...why wouldn’t it be worth it? My original bmpcc lasted me about 5 years.
Hey Daniel, thanks so much for talking about the 6K as a CZcams camera. Do you always manual focus for talking head videos or do you autofocus on the app?
Also, do you use ATEM at all to help with communicating with the camera?
Once focus is set, does it ever veer out of focus.
Lastly do you have your lens aperture wide open for these videos?

Hey! Thank you! So I use a Tilta Nucleus Nano wirelessly to dial in my focus for something like this, and I use the bluetooth app and not an ATEM. I've never had it veer out of focus no! And not wide open - probably around f3.5 but can vary depending on setup.

Hi, I saw that you use the Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS I v30 instead of II v90, have you run into any limitation on how high settings it can go?
I mainly shoot to an SSD - so don’t quote me on this as I haven’t properly tested it. But I believe it was around 24fps 4k DCI Prores. No HFR stuff
@@DanielJamesBird I've been searching everywhere to no result to see if a cheap v30 SD card can at least record 4k prores and less. So it's a great help as a reference point for me. Thank you!
