Anno 2070 - Abridged Starter Guide - Part 1 of 2

- Hey guys!
Long break, but I'm back once again! I wanted to create an Anno 2070 guide for Getting Started, and for the hardest mission, Power Games. I have completed both of those, but it was a bit harder than I imagined. My original try had me between 4 and 10 hours in length for the Getting Started guide, but I redid it and got it down to 70 minutes. Hurray!
One correction from the video: The maximum Eco Balance is actually 500, though I say 5000 by accident.
Note: One thing you need to do if you have hostile or expansionist NPCs on the map is the pre-claim the islands you will need to get to Tier 3 (Engineers with no needs met). It's always best to claim beyond your main island: Vegetables, Sugar, and Algae. Making sure you have these pre-claimed means even when fighting multiple expansionist opponents at once, you will be able to build a devastating military to destroy anyone in your way.

You have no idea how hard it was to condense all this info and not do too much of my trademark rambling! I am using the full version of Fraps to record and the built in Win 7 Live Movie Maker to compress. If my videos seem a bit clumsy, I do almost no editing at all, and do everything in a single take and put them end to end. XD

:D Yeah, I bought the full version. It's only $30 once, and surprisingly well supported, considering that's all he's getting paid! Kudos to that team. Hello from Florida back 'atchya. I will have some new videos in the next 3 weeks or so. I'm seeing some family the next 2 weeks for a bit get together, but after that, I plan to get back into it.

Nope! I misspoke. Had to correct myself in the video description. Sometimes I add zeroes to things... Max effective Eco balance is 500. Max display is 999. It does not cap at 999 though, you will still receive slight tax bonuses above that, so I'm not sure what the real limit is.
um I have only gotten up to 999 eco balance is thr something I did wrong?

i bought this game a couple of years ago, decide to play campaign, and drop it.
turns out the campaign is quite bad that it makes people quit playing this game.
recently i tried the continuous mode, and turns out the game is pretty awesome.

why don't you put taxes on yellow after the max amout of people have moved in?
Tobias Ingold When people get sick, or if there is a fire, then few citizens will go, leaving the house with about 5/8 people and noone to come back if taxes are yellow :/

@@JannemanVaarwater Hehe, if you notice in the video, I start out in the red as well. It's important to build up that first city extremely fast! That's why I spend so much time showing my preferred city layout, cuz I usually have to buzz through its construction as fast as I am able. Once you are $1 in the green, you're safe again, but until then, you're bleeding! Don't go for too much construction until you're in the green and can stay there! Good luck!
