    Fun Fact: the Spanish Flag actually is a "Union Jack" because the coat of arms that is in the flag is a combination of the Kingdoms of Castille, Aragon/Catalonia/Valencia, Navarra and Leon

    Fin fact: the Mexican Huichol flag is actually inspired by psychedelics.
    The Huichol culture uses the peyote cactus as a religious practice. This cactus is a powerful psychedelic, making you trip and see crazy patterns and colors, and is commonly depicted in their art… The green side of the flag shows the peyote cactus as a pattern.

    9:13 That's the symbol of the Nordic Council, which is a cooperation organization for nordic parliaments and governments. The biggest problem with using that symbol, is that most Nordic people associate it with another symbol called the Nordic Swan mark, which is based on it, but is used to label environmental friendly products such as recycled paper.

      When the Union Jack was formed, Wales was considered just a part of England and not its own separate entity, hence why it is not represented

    The Chinese flag in 13:13 means "Serving the people" 为人民服务 - A slogan of the CCP since they took power in 1949 which they never practice.
    The Japan one says 食 which means "food"

    I don't think he realizes that the Japanese-style flags aren't in the style of the Japanese Country Flag, but of its Prefectures. So it doesn't matter if it's pre-1999 or post-1999, it's using the current style for the Japanese Prefectures.

    Actually the flag of Spain does have the flag of Castile, Leon and Aragon. They are on the shield of the flag. In addition, the first flag of Spain was a mixture of the flags of Castile, León, Aragón and the two Sicilies (the one that is in Europa Universalis IV).

    6:39 fun fact: you say that “...some of you need to be updating your stuff...” Scotland’s flag is actually 500 years old! There is also the story that it was actually around for more than that by a lot. 60AD is roughly the time, that Saint Andrew was crucified. You can learn more just by typing up “how old is the Scottish flag” on google.
