soviet/russian tank turret tends to be smaller so the whole tank can attain a low silhouette
@@quoccuongtran724 its the autoloading sytem. The shells are stored in the turret basket, so if the shells explode inside the tank, everyone is toast.

If anyone does not understand the last meme about the tanks. It is because russian tanks have a nasty habit of turrets blowing off when they have been hit. It is because their ammo storage is in the floor of most of their tanks, even modern ones. So when they get hit in the ammo storage area, chances are the rounds will start cooking off and blow. When that happens the turret can fly almost 100 ft in the air and land a 100ft away

Id say it depends on what its trying to portray itself as. I would not think much, if anything, of inaccuracies of the last samurai/kingdom of heaven because It clearly wasn't trying to represent real events. If you want to portray your film as historically faithful though, then get major aspects of it entirely wrong... thats far worse.
