Its not a rivalry. Its a mid table club trying to stay relevant against their bigger, better and more successful geographical neighbour. Arsenal's rivals are the other big clubs
5th is mid table? this is why everyone wanted you to lose the league again. Most delusional fans in the country AFTV has shown the world.
Your comment just made you look ignorant, Spurs have been a top six club since Enic took over and has once been out of the top six in 20 years. The last time you have been relevant is last season when you qualified for the Champions League, havent not been in the champions league seven seasons ago. You based your success on a Fa cup win four years ago.
When Tottenham had a decent team a few years back, they won NOTHING, an absolute fat zero, whilst Arsenal, despite being in the football doldrums, managed to win FA Cups.
Well hey, the tide has turned, and suddenly Arsenal are emerging as a force again.
It's pure jealously from Tottenham fans hence their hatred.
It has turned and both clubs won nothing
No arsenal have won fa cups in that time

Itâs not much a rivalry when Arsenal are light years ahead of Spurs.
Tell that to arsenal fans please.
I know plenty. And they would of wanted exactly the same, trust me.
They wanted to lose the Europa if it meant spurs losing the champ league final.

The toxicity is all on Spursâ end. Misery loves company.
lol, no matter the topic football fans showing a complete lack of being able to put the bias aside and see that it is the majority of fans. Not sure how long you been rocking about but Arsenal have always had a toxic side, same as Spurs, same as all clubs all over the world.
Are you kidding me? đ I'm a villa fan and even I know arsenal fans are just as bad. Spurs fans were 100% toxic but arsenal fans are the most hypocritical fanbase in the league. Arsenal current players, ex players, celeb fans, normal fans are always toxic towards Tottenham and have been for years. To say it's one way is ridiculous
Yeah cause Arsenal fans never spend most of their time at the Emirates singing about Spurs!!
@@patrickgrace2029 It's called comedy relief, everyone needs some.
@@Amberle73 yeah course it is
"They gave them a game"... are you kidding me... jesus wept, give your head a wobble... watch that game back.. Spurs players pulled out of challenges, walked around, made absolute minimal effort to win that game.. and that first goal... was allowed to come across the 6yrd box... Spurs at the beginning of the season were frighteningly good... we had 2 really hard games against them... Son, who has the best Opta data for scoring one on ones and going around a keeper, shoots early and misses.... the whole thing stinks!!!
Spurs were never Gona win that game .. spurs have fooled everyone in the Media. Lol
U honestly think spurs were gona actually try to win that? The player who scored the goal for spurs would have never been forgiven by the fans. The players knew that and done their best to not score when they got in the final 3rd.
Yeah, Sonny sorted it that Ederson would get concussed and come off so that Ortega could dangle a leg and save his shot.
Yup, I could see that happening
Its toxic because Spurs cant accept that theyâre a small club

ââ@dariasstalbottson6067 yep last season we did bottle it but those statics are bullshit. The points tally may be correct but people fail to add that city had like 3 games in hand which they won all of and then beat us at their ground. So yeah we could of done better but it wasn't as bad as people make out.
Least we didn't finish 3rd in a 2 horse race though đ.
Sounds like itâs time to call in the environmental groups to clean up the toxic mess. Hopefully the government set aside sufficient funds for this particular disaster.
People always bring up that Liverpool beat Blackburn on the last day of that season. However no one is saying Spurs did or should have thrown the game.
But when Liverpool scored the winner that day there was stunned silence. Itâs the exact same situation. The fans donât want the rival team to win the title. Itâs simple. Itâs not toxic itâs football.
What a load of nonsense. What about the 4 losses before that where didn't even try? Wins in those would've made this game pointless for spurs and they could've put kids out
I wouldnât say Spurs didnât try. They were horribly out of form by having a lack of match fitness compared to every other club thanks to going two weeks without a match, twice. I think Chelsea were the only game they truly let themselves down from a performance perspective.
Social media have played a big part with both sets of fans having their say on their planforms, which earn them views and followers and of course money from you tube. Rivalry are for the fans the players who play for both clubs know exactly who their are.
Media are talking like Tottenham have played with their u18's team. If you see the game properly you can see the both teams were competitive. But City is one of the best teams in the world, so of course they would have advantage and end up find a way to beat Spurs.
Match fixing
Funny how all the comments are arsenal fans saying spurs are toxic yet theyâre the ones commenting on everything đ€·đ»ââïž
Flippin 'eck TalkSport is really scraping the barrel with these 2 in the studio. That little chat didnt deliver any original insight or new information at all it just regurgitated what everyone else has been saying for the last few days. Waste of airtime
Liverpool - You lost the league at Goodison Park đąđ
THANK YOU!!! COMMON SENSE
Cas going on about Liverpool beating Blackburn in 95'. Why didn't Redknapp celebrate when he scored that winning free kick. Thats worse than the fans opinions
The most one-sided rivalry đ For 90% of our 'rivalry' theres only 1 clear winner ! đ
This toxicity is one-sided cause arsenal fans would never put on city's jersey and celebrate against our own team and screaming at them to throw the game...
A very one sided rivalry. Someone needs to let Arsenal know
When did the Spuds last win a title, 1961? Oh, yes black and white TV, Top Cat and The Avengers đ€·ââïž
â@patricksterling927 When did arsenal win a European trophy ?? Oh they haven't!! Comr and see some at Tottenham!!
The spurs fan saying "we stopped Arsenal winning the league" the four points we got off Spurs is part the reason we took it to the last day, Arsenal were hoping City had a bad day, no one thought Spurs could beat even a 50% City team, they just scraped past relegated Burnley ffs.... at home!
Didnât even watch, that Citeh never beating the Spuds away, in their new ground, or even scoring had to end. Unfortunately this was the game.
Itâs one thing wanting your rivals to lose, itâs another thing celebrating your own defeat.
Thatâs Spursy
Big Ange knows his players threw that game, he just can't say it publicly as it would damage the hell out of that club.... their fans loved it that they lost
Nope
It us what it is , when Arsenals supporters show their feelings about spurs club everyone expect spurs supporters to be spursy, when they stand up to their disregard of the Arsenals rivers of tears and disgust flow even from chelsea fans ,what go's around comes around

â@@IamevlhmrArsenal are always Tottenhams tenants !! Woolwich and always Woolwich!!
This is pathetic! Is this even a point to be debated when thereâs a potential champions league place available?
Spurs lost more than the match last week. They lost any little pretense of a rivalry. Arsenal are on their own until Utd and Chelsea get better. Teams should show that they actually try against City for that to be a rivalry. In any case Arsenal have to get 95pts or more to beat City. Trophies are coming to the Emirates soon anyway, chin up Gunners. The team is here for a long time. We'll do great things.
Spurs will never win anything đđđ. They'll always be losers
Next season they be crying next season when they loosing. Weâll say I thought you like loosing. It will come back to bite them
No. What did u watch? Spurs players were pulling out of tackles. And son miss. Dun even start about that.
I was at the game and there was very little between the teams. 2 lapses from Tottenham caused the loss.
I bet West Ham beat City but then Everton will beat Arsenal đđđđ
Hope so, would be hilarious.
All the virtue signaling, amazing, I thought football was a tribalistic working class sport. Why after we'd lost any chance of champions league would we want arsenal to win anything.
Correct tense, was a working class sport
what's wrong with having rivalries, what is actually wrong with that ?
Nothing wrong with rivalries. Pretending to care about your side and pretending to have superiority over another side, just to lose on purpose and will negative results on your side to spite your rivalries though... there's definitely something wrong with that

LOL He's right, and hilariously - as of today - we now know Tottenham *would* have qualified for the top 4 if they had defeated Man City (Tottenham won 3-0 against Sheffield United on the final matchday, and Aston Villa was *brutally* destroyed 5-0 by Crystal Palace simultaneously)!
That officially makes Tottenham fans the first ever set of fans to root *against* their club making the top 4 and actually *succeeding* in rooting them to failure! XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD Yes, for those who didn't watch the game, it was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests! It was 0-0 at halftime, Man City struggled heavily, and Tottenham actually had *several* chances to score! It is *very* legitimate to think Tottenham *could* have yet again upset Man City (who always appears to struggle against Tottenham) if their fans were actually *cheering them on* to do so (but they were rooting *against* them *in their own stadium)!* XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD
This storyline will live on forever! As a Liverpool fan, the one thing I *can* always say is that I've *never* actively rooted *against* my own team, *let alone* when my team needed a win to have a chance at a Champions League place (let alone *successfully* rooting them to failure)!
Again, Tottenham fans are now the only fans in history to *purposefully* and *successfully* root for the *failure* of their own team to qualify for the Champions League! That will never be forgotten! XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD
