    I’m sending mine back right now. Last week the rear wheel broke off, which caused me to crash hard. Thankfully I was wearing a helmet but that didn’t save me from bad road rash on my face, a black eye, and concussion. I just had a CT scan done this morning but haven’t gotten the results. I’m done with Unagi scooters.

    I rode my Model One around a flat campus for about a year. Advertises 7-12 mile capacity, never got more than 4. Like someone else in the comments, I finally gave up when my wheel broke off and I went flying.
    Seems like it's pretty inexpensive in the UK? I'd say this scooter is worth $250. But for the near $1k they charge (or $59 a month, so $700+ a year now, to rent?!), this thing is a piece of crap.

    Thank you for being honest. Part of the reason I started delivering door dash and ubereats on a scooter is because of your videos on the ruckus. The ruckus didn't work for me because I'm to tall and it didn't go fast enough for delivery in Lubbock Tx. but I got a Honda PCX and it works great. You and Wilcer were the channels that gave me the idea. Thanks for what you're doing and keep up the videos.

    I brought an Volpam spt7 electric scooter on Amazon December 2023. The range is 21 miles and top speed is 19 mph and it was better and cheap. This cost $419.00, but for the discount, it's 298.00.

    Just wondering if you ever got the return/cancellation figured out. I was kind of dumb and saw some good reviews of this, and really jumped on a rental because I've never owned a scooter and wanted to see how doable it would be for commuting to work, and this seemed like the least expensive way to try it out for a little bit. I just ordered a refurbed one on a monthly rental on Saturday, so haven't been given any info on it. I figured that at some point sooner or later I'd either buy a scooter or I'd decide it wasn't for me, but felt like getting on one regularly for a month or so would be the best way to learn about them and figure out what to look for when deciding what kind to buy when I was ready. But now I'm getting scared that it's going to be hell to cancel this monthly subscription when I want to. :(

    • @dvdmon
      @dvdmon Před měsícem

      @@luxvita2815 Just seems like given the target market if this company was making it impossible to return a rental, they would be notorious for it all over. But we'll see what happens.
      I did just receive mine, only 2 business days after I ordered it. Everything seems to work fine. I got a refurb, so it's not in perfect condition but it's not totally banged up and seems to work fine. I haven't taken it out for a spin yet because it's been raining non-stop and my helmet hasn't even arrived, so we'll see how things go. I'm a little disappointed that the range in the app seems to be way lower than the one that is in the specs, but I guess the specs put the range a the max ideal, which tome, is a bit scammy. Wouldn't you want your customers to be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed once they get theirs? But I guess putting the real range would drive too many people away from even getting one?

    Those four handlebar bolts are actually not fully tightened.
    I've had the exact same problem, wrongly believing that those bolts were all the way snugged, then I put a wrench to them, finding that each would turn in about another 1/2 turn each.
    Take each out and put blue Loctite on each, letting the Loctite dry after turning in the bolts before riding it again.
    The wiggling stem can be corrected with some adjustment at the bottom via another bolt.
    With that said, I am currently trying to repair mine myself because the steering is completely locked up, unable to turn at all, even though the handlebar is in the proper fully upright position.
    This is the second Unagi I've had with this problem, as I had to send in my original early last year for that, getting the refurb unit that now has the exact same problem.
    By the time that I had the refurb unit get locked up that way, my warranty had run out.
    What a load of crap!

I flex tape waterproofed it and have ridden it through torrential downpours, puddles, taking my son to school, grocery shopping, and recreational riding and it works great. My other scooter is a hiBoy Max Pro that I just got and so far like it, it reminds me of my old 1989 Lincoln Towncar in that its a beast with some get up, and rides like a boat, its great so far.
